"If Prop 103 Passes..." WOLVERINES!

As the state’s most popular political blog, Colorado Pols works hard every day to bring you the news and information about Colorado politics you need. Proposition 103 is an education funding initiative on the statewide ballot this November. If passed, Proposition 103 would restore the income and sales tax rates that were in effect in 1999 in Colorado–increasing from 4.63% to 5% and 2.9% to 3% respectively for five years.

But that’s not all!

If Proposition 103 passes, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union will take it as an obvious sign that America is ripe for conquest. The Cuban and Nicaraguan armies will invade via Mexico, while hundreds of thousands of Russians pour across the Bering Strait, then down through Alaska and Canada to occupy the central United States. The Front Range will emerge as the front lines in the ensuing struggle for the survival of America. Former Senate Minority Leader Josh Penry is reportedly set to lead a small group of fellow teenagers into the mountains to fight a guerilla war against the Soviet occupation. Calling themselves the “Wolverines,” Penry’s rag-tag band of freedom fighters will battle desperately while millions in Denver starve to death under communist siege…and all because Proposition 103 passed.
