  1. OK, people. I have some questions…

Where is Tina? Does her husband, Robert, know where she is? Has she deserted her family along with her job and the people of Mesa county?

Why was a warrant issued for her assistant, but not her? It is almost a certainty that the activity for which she was busted was done at the behest and for the benefit of her superior, the County Clerk.

Who, if anyone, is looking for her? Who, besides her pillowmate, is hiding her?

    1. If we had a decent investigative reporter at the GJDS we might have the answers to your questions.  Sadly, I am as ill informed as other inquiring minds.

      1. I just wonder who is squashing this story. As is often said, the cover-up may be bigger than the crime. Someone is sitting on this story.

Why don’t Mesa counties’ business leaders press for the truth? Perhaps there are much bigger names involved. Hmmm.

        1. Successful conspiracies require skill and the ability to keep mouths firmly shut, attributes distinctly lacking in most people let alone the MAGA enthusiasts in Mesa County.

Personally, I think the Tina Peters investigation is coming along slowly and remains firmly bottled up by the feebs and Mesa County DA Dan Rubenstein until they have a case built. None of them operate at light speed. We can hope the the AG might step in at some point to demand a progress report.

  2. Well, Rose Pugliese, she of the picture with Tina Peters who was rumored to run for CO Secretary of State, hath posted on the twittersphere:

Despite speculation that I am “running for something,” I have decided not to run for office at this time so that I can focus on providing for my two young children.

    1. Oh, good. Pugliese’s association with Peters’ criminal enterprise would have been toxic to her ticket. But lots of fun to write about.

Let’s hope that Wayne Williams is content with his low-paid Councilor gig, plus taking on Peters’ responsibilities in Mesa County. Gessler’s probably still  happily gouging municipal districts for fat legal fees. We don’t want either of those gentlemen taking another go at the Secretary of State job. Jena Griswold’s doing a great job.

    2. "I want to spend more time with my family" generally translates to "I have a FAR more lucrative gig" and/or "There's a tawdry scandal lurking just beneath the surface that even the dumbest journalist could find with ease." No matter, though. Looks like ol' Rose is out. Any ideas about who might end up being Griswold's challenger in 2022?

      1. I got nothing, except maybe Wayne Williams vs. Griswold round 2. He'd lose again, but more than likely would be less embarrassing than someone too invested in election conspiracy-land.
