    1. Oh, Barnes occasionally comes up with a good one. He had one a while back for the national day, flag, or something of Paraguay.

Anyone active on this board ever been to Paraguay (besides me)?

  1. Happy Birthday wishes to once-Speaker of the Colorado House, Lola Spradley (R-Beulah).  Lola co-chaired the 2004 Amendment 37 campaign with Congressman Mark Udall (D-Boulder), setting the stage for the abundance of affordable and unlimited power Colorado ratepayers enjoy via wind from the eastern plains and solar resources in the Pueblo and San Luis Valley regions.

Colorado’s success with Amendment 37 was the impetus for the formation of the national renewable energy initiative, “25’x’25”.  This state continues to have an impact on where we are today as a nation in regards to renewable energy.

  2. Dave just had to get in first with something silly. Today is the anniversary of the Stonewall riots.https://www.history.com/news/stonewall-riots-timeline And what better day for the Supreme Court to turn away an appeal from a Virginia school district of the Fourth Circuit’s decision in favor of a trans kid who sued to be treated like the boy he was.https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/supreme-court-wont-revive-schools-transgender-bathroom-ban/2021/06/28/dc63ed40-d817-11eb-8c87-ad6f27918c78_story.html

    1. Good for SCOTUS. I was surprised that Amy Comey Barrett, Kavanaugh, and Gorsuch joined the court liberals in denying the Virginia appeal. It signals that they may not be as anti- LGBTQ as was feared.

In case anyone cares what Dr. Chaps thinks about LGBTQ issues, he was busy warning that an Air Force drag show “ insults God” and would “hurt our ability to fight and win wars.” Huh?

    1. The maggots hung out for a little while, then started streaming out.

I think they've gotten a little tired of the all-star wrestling schtick as the show has gotten a little lame. The only way to pump up the energy is to display even more over-the-top rhetoric. The Trump show is just starting to feel a little bleah, especially when compared to the exaggerated violence porn coming from Marjie and OAN.

          1. Wow…

“Mmmm,, mama…come here quick! That ol’ cocaine ’bout to make me sick.

Cocaine, running all around my brain”.

            Jackson Browne

  3. Follow-on impacts of LAST YEAR'S fires — mud slides closing I-70 in Glenwood Canyon on Saturday and Sunday.  It won't take too many of those to percolate into travelers' awareness, with consequent impact on their travel plans, which will hit businesses hoping for a summer boost of activity.
