Front Page Guest Editor Elections This Weekend

  •
  • by: Colorado Pols

We’d like to thank our front page guest editors for the first half of 2011, MADCO and Aristotle, as well as editor redstateblues who resigned to take a campaign position in the recent Denver city elections, for their valued contributions over the past few months. This is the most widely read and discussed political blog in Colorado because of our community of politically knowledgeable readers–and our democratically elected guest editors, as we’re proud to note, represent the best of the best.

We will be holding an election for two new front-page guest editors This Saturday and Sunday, June 18-19th. The new editors will start on July 1st, and barring anything unexpected will hold their positions through the end 2011–at which time we’ll have another election. We’ll conduct one poll of nominees, and the top two finishers from that poll will win coveted front page editor spots. And as always, our current editors are automatically renominated unless they decline, in keeping with our opinion of the problematic effects of term limits.

To learn more about the privileges and expectations of our guest editors, read this post, and feel free to ask questions. We will continue to employ novel methods of ensuring the election is fraud-free, so we remind readers as always to not bother trying. We’ll catch you, you’ll have accomplished nothing, and you’ll join a select group of banned users who serve as the butt of various running inside jokes.

Please find the list of nominees from the prior discussion thread after the jump (thanks for your diligence, MADCO), and make sure to post any additional nominations before tomorrow night–you’re free to nominate yourself, of course, and a reminder that there are no restrictions on campaign spending.
