Silverman responds to discussion on Colorado Pols

  •
  • by: Jason Salzman

I forwarded the recent discussion on Pols about radio-show host Craig Silverman to Silverman.

Here’s his response:

Thanks for letting me know what is going on at Colorado Pols.  I used to go there more frequently but have been turned off by the nonsensical oddsmaking (has anybody there ever gambled on a real horserace or taken a math class?) and unrelenting left bias.  In fairness, many progressive people do not well tolerate the Caplis and Silverman Show because I can never be the leftist equivalent of Dan Caplis.  That is not me and never has been.

I do not take kindly to Colmes comparisons (I am taller, better looking, and funnier).  Alan Colmes, who I know a bit from being on his shows, is a dyed in the wool leftie.  I find it amusing that some people on the left want to put me down by comparing me to a stalwart of the left.

I am writing this from the AIPAC conference In our nation’s capital where I just heard President Obama dial back and clarify some of his Thursday statements.  Colorado Pols and the New York Times may not think that the threat from radical Islam (Hamas, Hezballah, Muslim Brotherhood, Al Queda, etc.) is a big issue in the 2012 elections.  It is for me.  I worry a lot about the threat radical Islam poses to Israel, the United States, and anybody who embraces human rights.  I remember 9/11.  I know about the Holocaust.  Never Again.

How is it that so many progressives who champion causes I believe in such as women’s rights, gay rights and religous freedom can be so willing to take the side of those that love sharia and jihad?
