Today is another Dumbass Commercial Promotion Day.
…and “Bernie Madoff has gone teats up” Day.
Madoff may be the second biggest fraud in American history, after only Stinky Trump.
But while he defrauded investors of $19 billion, his trustee has recovered $14.4 billion to reimburse his victims.
Of course, investors also “lost” $55 billion in phoney profits.
Trump will probably never pay his victims back a nickel, since he formalized his thefts with six bankruptcies.
Looks like the old, white men at ALEC are back. Who’s going to tell them coal is
so last centurythe most expensive form of energy today sans nuclear? Maybe take your complaints to Adam Smith?Hell. Wyoming could be the OPEC of wind power if they put their mind to it.
If Uncle Phil has anything to say about it they will!
15 minutes on I-80 in Western Wyoming will make that clear
Huh … coulda sworn I heard that Wyoming backed "states' rights" and insists that private enterprises can adjust to market conditions.
Somehow they have this goofy idea that they’re entitled to have laws and policies that hamper sales of our Colorado cannabis products . . .
Wait, really, what?? You mean even Antelopia is all done and giving up pretending trying to sell that “clean coal” charade nonsense any longer???
What an utterly stupid way to piss away $1.2M? This very well could be the dumbest fucking thing not involving Moderatus that I’ve heard so far this month . . .
Oh, have faith. It will involve moderatus sooner or later!
Message from Colorado to Wyoming; quoting John Cena; could be:
"You want some? Come and get some."
Today is National Bookmobile Day
Who’d have thunk? The spawn of Dick Cheney thinks ending war is a bad idea?!?
The huge propaganda victory for terrorists would be if we stayed in for another 20 years and trillion dollars.
The problem is that 20 years in not long enough.
To truly change Afghanistan into a secular, pluralistic republic, we would have to commit to 100 years.
All for a shithole country with almost zero resources.
How do we calculate the impact of a “win for terrorists” within the “America First” national interest? And I want to see how anyone is measuring the impact for terrorist forces between the narrative of “we beat the US” versus the impact of “the US bombs civilians” and “war crimes of the US” [wikipedia summarizes]
As far as I recall, the only impact the Taliban had on US interests was a tolerance for AQ training camps and selling poppy products to finance some of their operations. And of course, poppy production continued while we had troops in-country.
Colorado gets a nice nod from Digby's Hullabaloo, reporting on a YouGov survey of impressions of various states: Favorite states of mind
We're #2 to Hawaii … and no doubt, going to amp the effort by creating a subtle variation of "We Try Harder."
Given comments on this day, it is worth mentioning Wyoming is #22. For skiers, the competition with #27 Utah may become a topic of discussion. Downstream states: Arizona is #7, California #12.
Every time whipping states continue to avoid impressing: #50 Alabama and #49 Mississippi
