Today is Evacuation Day
I find that a healthy diet, rich in dietary fiber, helps with that.

Tonight: corn beef and cabbage, glazed carrots, and Irish ☘️ Mules made with Jameson. Rounding out dinner: a toast to Great-great grandpa John Barry, Sr., who weathered the journey from County Cork to northern Minnesota.
We put the corned beef in the slow cooker this morning and bathed it in a healthy amount of Guinness ! Happy St. Patrick's Day !
As long as we’re doing Irish blessings and toasts, this made me laugh this morning:
The Mouse on the Barroom Floor!
Some Guinness was spilled on the barroom floor, when the pub was shut for the night.
Out of his hole crept a wee brown mouse, and stood in the pale moonlight,
He lapped up the frothy brew from the floor, then back on his haunches he sat.
And all night long you could hear him roar! “Bring on the goddam CAT!”
Liquid courage ! Quite funny…
And, the national attention to Rep. Boebert continues. I'd think the notion that "all publicity is good" is getting a pretty sound beating with a set of twitter replies like today's…
