  1. On today's installment of At Least He's Not YOUR Elected Representative, Arizona state Rep. Joseph Chaplik (R-Of Course) sez if masks are so goddamn important and effective, we would have worn them in the 80s because of HIV and AIDS.

    Check and mate, libtards!

    1. For example, he cited HIV “that was going to wipe our global destruction of human bodies with AIDS.”

“We heard about that in the ’80s,” Chaplik said. “Yet no masks were required.”

Just try to argue with logic like that?!?  C’mon, I dare you . . .

      (I’m wondering if maybe this guy doesn’t own a grille somewhere? . . .)

  2. Oh, and today's the day Donald Trump is installed as the 19th POTUS. The U.S. became a corporation during the Grant administration, ya see, so all the subsequent presidents were not really presidents at all but more like CEOs. Today, the corporation will be dissolved and the True Presidency restored.

But don't take my word for it. Ask QAnon, a/k/a Protocols of the Elders of Zion for the 2020s. They'll tell ya all about it.

    Colorado February Issues Survey
    Release Part 2

Hello! Today we have released the second part of our voter opinion survey. The issues covered include regulation of social media companies, voter trust in government, the media, and opinions of democracy, socialism, capitalism, and stock markets. You can download the complete survey toplines, presentation, and crosstabs by clicking HERE.

    1. Interesting poll. I’m glad to see democracy in high favor. Most people seem to want regulation on social media, although it seems there would be widely varying criteria on what constitutes “misinformation”.

      1. I noticed in some of the salad created by Pew-Pew the expression, "liberal-spending"….hyphenated. Used to describe Boulder, as I recall.

The hyphen seems to to open up all sorts of possibilities. And questions.

  4. Ending a US Senate filibuster requires a 60% vote.  Today, 50 Democratic senators represent 63% of the US population.  A bill cannot be wildly liberal if it is to obtain the votes of all 50 Democratic senators.  Those Democratic senators include moderates such as Joe Manchin, Kristen Sinema, and even our own two moderate senators, Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper.   If viewed by US population, 50 Democratic votes exceeds the Senate filibuster rule.  As it stands, the filibuster rule promotes tyranny of the minority by giving outsize power to senators from small states such as Wyoming, North Dakota, etc.  The US Senate was intended to be the cooling saucer of legislation, not the frozen wasteland that subverts the will of the people.

    1. The filibuster has to go in order to pass any of Biden’s agenda. It isn’t going to be enough in 2024 not to be Trump. Dems have to produce meaningful reforms.

Oh, and democracy and life as we know it on Earth depend on it, too.

    1. Ok, my age is definitely showing here now, but I sure liked my wacko cults so very much better way back when that big day they were all looking forward to involved hitching a ride off of this planet by jumping onto some passing comet . . .
