      1. The stench comes from many places.  Sad reacts only.

    1. Here's hoping I can go find a store or restaurant celebrating National Carrot Cake Day.

Surely it ought to be just like 7-11 stores celebrating their date with free Slurpees.  [In 2020, 7-11 cancelled due to COVID. We can't have nice things….]  Or the multiple corporations recognizing National Doughnut or Donut Day. Or stores celebrating National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day.

    1. and in the comments on Randy's song for Marjorie Taylor Greene, there is one asking for a musical offering for Boebert (already with 43 thumbs up, and five supportive responses).

      1. File this under
“The Rules Are Always Different For the Right.”

Me, as a lefty, I’d have thought that if I started making public comments supporting the assassination of members of Congress, that I’d have quickly had the FBI knocking at my door. Or, probably not politely knocking, as instead they’d probably send a SWAT team.

But, a bunch of right-wingers, can sit around a make death threats all day long, against all sorts of important officials, and nobody cares. And, I’m not talking about the current political reaction so much as I am talking about how nothing happened at the time with nobody investigating anything about these people who seem to make a lot of death threats.

The FBI was probably off doing a major investigation of eco-terrorists trying to prevent the extinction of some species.

        1. HVL, that's why I hope every Dem up against an incumbent Congresscritter next year runs on the theme of I.O.K.I.Y.A.R. They should just flash slides of the Capitol invasion with the letters superimposed over the pictures.

    1. On the eve of a congressional vote on whether to certify the Presidential Election of Joe Biden, the Trump Org has been pursuing "personal agendas" and neglecting their response to the pandemic.

    2. I see Eric Trump really knows how to charm those Scots. Obnoxious responses like that are going to only make them more determined to investigate away. Winning.

      1. Its a winning issue for the SNP. Trump’s good buddy BoJo is currently persona-non-grata in Scotland, and is right now the SNP’s best recruiting poster. They are quite happy to put Trump right there next to him. Elections are coming, and the SNP is likely to gain even more seats from the Scot-Tories and Scot-Labour. This is just more good ammunition for them, and helps them towards their eventual goal of Scottish Independence.

So, Eric Trump wants to play obnoxious politics in a place where he has no power, and where the party in power has every reason to smack him around hard like a pinata in the run-up to elections. And its a fight he didn’t even have to get into. Good luck with that.

  1. WHAT UP COLPOLS!  I was just strollin through memory lane.  My first comment on Pols seems to be Feb 19, 2007. I was just getting back to Denver and just came off my first campaign, Jay Fawcett for CD5. ANd it seems i was yelling about the same things then that are happening now.

    Abortion

    Stupid Republicans

Since I am tired of getting banned on FB, I think I need to come back to more thought out posts instead of picking fights with toothless rednecks who carry guns and support the losers in the Confederate army.  I have been in Jail so much on FB, I now understand what it feels like to be a Black man!

Anyway, can you be banned from Pols?  Asking for a friend?

    1. The Pols Banning Hall of Fame has had only one member ever that I can recall . . .

. . . it shouldn’t be difficult to stay outta’ Alva’s hoosegow; “quixotic” is an easily avoidable word for most folks.

        1. It wasn’t even the dread verbotten outing, or more surprisingly even having exhausted the lifetime word limit here, it was that epic battle of wits with the sniveling bj which reached it’s zenith with a speculation that bj might be a snack food.  (On the plus side, it did save much tedious scrolling, and an unfathomable number of electrons from a unnecessarily profligate demise.)

  2. We'd love to have you back, Whiskey Lady.  Just don't "out" any polsters, an automatic ban.   And never, under any circumstances, support the designated hitter rule!
