  1. Put your hand on your head — (hand on your head)

Put your foot in the air — (foot in the air)

Then you hop around the room — (hop around the room)

In your underwear — (in your underwear)

Ain’t ever been nothin’ quite like this

Come on baby it’s the Wilbury Twist . . .

  2. since Pols promised the answers to Colorado Pols Mailbag Vol. 2.

    Still nada.

If a pol broke promises like this, Pols would be all over he/she/it.

My momma told me to never make promises that I don’t intend to keep.

Reminds me of something from T-Bone Burnett’s wife, Sam Philips — Raised on Promises.

      1. On Jan. 20, I posted the italicized questions below.

On Feb. 1, Pols answered the first half of others’ posted questions while promising to answer the rest soon.

What’s the budget of this website?

How much money does it take in? How much does it cost to run? What is typical daily traffic, and what is peak traffic? What caused the peak traffic?

When will a house fall on Sarah Palin?

Does Jared Polis have any realistic chances outside of CD2?

Name three good reasons why Diana DeGette should be granted her wish and become congresswoman for life. All right, how about just one good reason?

If La Popular can make such awesome tamales, why can’t anyone in Colorado make good pizza?

          1. that I found one place in Denver that makes pretty good pies — Buenos Aires Pizzeria at 22nd and Larimer. The Chori (mozarella, chorizo, jalapeno, and red peppers) is a fine non-traditional pie.

            Other swings and misses:

            Marco’s Coal-Fired — OK crust, bland toppings

Wyman’s — Maybe the best deep dish in Colo, but not good enough to survive in Chicago.

Nicolos — Deep dish, uneven quality

Edgewater Tavern — the place is more fun than the pies. Bar food

Bonnie Brae — bad bar food.

Beau Jo’s — wallpaper paste with honey

NY Pizzeria — OK NY-style, but not good enough to stay in business in NYC

Enzo’s End — best only after (several) beers on Colfax.

Wazee — better atmosphere than food

Anthony’s — generic NY-style pie. Not bad, not great

Hernando’s — better than Beau Jo’s, but still nothing special

Il Vicino — gimmicky service is, alas, better than its pies.

California Pizza Kitchen — Not much better than the stuff peddled from supermarket freezers.

            Sbarro — Really?

I hear there are some good new frou-frou places in Boulder, though.

              1. called Laudisio’s that was featured on PBS for their authentic pizza that is about as close as what you can get in Italy anywhere here in the US.

I love real Italian pizza. Nothing really comes close here so I’d love to try Laudisio’s and see if it is comparable. It sure looked like the real deal on PBS and they use the old style brick ovens to bake the pizzas in.

                1. I’m a Polack–I can polka with the best of them!

Is Diorio’s on Horizon still there?  I had a decent pie or two there when I was auditing RMHP a couple of years ago…
