Today is International Accounting Day. Maybe not to Fat Donnie’s liking.
There's no accounting for taste or character.
Call Emily Murphy.
reminds me of Monica Goodling.
Maybe she can get a K street gig, or a talk show
Or a blonde Monica Lewinsky.
Keep dreaming … this is the same person who decided it was OK for Presidents to own hotel operating companies running a DC hotel, despite explicit lease language saying no government official could.
The same person to decide the FBI HQ ought not be built new, but should renovate the one on the Mall — coincidentally blocking any plan to have a private company bid to make some other use of the property, like building a hotel.
Emily Murphy, when no longer useful to Trump, is on her own. After these past four years I have no idea how she can not see that…
My personal purge has begun. Unsubscribed today from Progressive Turnout Project and Democratic Training (never subscribed, on my own, to these two entities). More to come.
Just added the Brady PAC (for gun control). Another that I never subscribed to.
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/nov/10/biden-establishment-democrat-next-donald-trump
"…(Biden) governs as a “normal” Democrat, it won’t be long before we have to deal with the next Donald Trump."
^^this
The tea party of the left won't help matters.
“… economic hypocrisy of recent Democratic administrations alienated part of the Democrats’ traditional blue-collar voting base, not to mention the millions of unaffiliated voters who opted not to vote for either Clinton or Trump in 2016. It’s these voters, not the wealthy suburbanites which many in the party’s establishment cater to, that still hold the keys to American politics.”
I wouldn’t call them that – but I hear you.
But to win just because the other guy sucks is not always going to work. And a well organized Trump II will win. Then what?
A solid infrastructure program, parts of which would appeal even to Republicans, would go a long way. Health care remains a potent issue even with miserable Mitch blocking expansion. The party should hire some of the Lincoln Project's best ad makers and wordsmiths to explain why the party of Trump doesn't give a rat's ass about the middle class.
Does anyone else see ominous overtones to the firing of Espy? He apparently argued against invoking the Insurrection Act and bringing in active military during protests after the George Floyd killing (despite his nickname Yespy).
Trump is preparing to initiate military engagement somewhere.
In Philadelphia. Or Detroit. Or the Georgia Secretary of State's Office.
Georgia
Pennsylvania
Michigan
Arizona
Not necessarily in that order
He's going after Kazakhstan to teach Borat a lesson.
Throw ballots down the well
So my country can be free
Right! Especially after Sacha Baron Cohen booked the Four Seasons Landscape company for the big press event.
They're running a special on dildoes and butt plugs next door.
Agree, Duke. And we can't rule out RepealAndReplace's theory, either.
Esper/yesper. Mike Espy ran for US Senate in MS against Cindy Hyde-Smith and lost.
Termination by tweet of Esper is very ominous and even more so if it is followed by the terminations of Wray and Haspel.
Dump is burning the house down.
I thought the law changed awhile back specifically giving FBI Directors 10 year term… this would be two terminations under Trump
FBI Directors DO get 10 year terms … but are seen as part of the Administration, so ultimately, the President can fire them. A small stone in that "Unitary Executive" building that's been going up for years.
… I need to learn to speak and read English where 10 years means whatever
Or learn that laws mean less than nothing to dump
#Trump wants to be able to say Merry Christmas to us this year, in the worst possible way. I hope there is a framework to protect us from him, including the military itself. But I'm not sure there is.
next time he plays golf change the locks in the WH and drop him off at the bus station.
Since he carries no papers maybe he'll end up in a cage and be deported
First they'd have to figure out what planet he came from.
no new president has ever had to fear that his predecessor might expose the nation’s secrets
Not only does Trump have a history of disclosures, he checks the boxes of a classic counterintelligence risk: He is deeply in debt and angry at the U.S. government, particularly what he describes as the “deep state” conspiracy that he believes tried to stop him from winning the White House in 2016 and what he falsely claims is an illegal effort to rob him of reelection.
“Anyone who is disgruntled, dissatisfied or aggrieved is a risk of disclosing classified information, whether as a current or former officeholder. Trump certainly fits that profile,” said David Priess, a former CIA officer
As an ex-president, Trump could disclose the secrets he learned while in office, current and former officials fear
From the article: "Many concerned experts were quick to note that Trump reportedly paid scant attention during his presidential intelligence briefings and has never evinced a clear understanding of how the national security apparatus works. His ignorance may be the best counterweight to the risk he poses."
He is too stupid to be an "intelligence risk."
nice catch.
Perhaps worse, he is embedding loyalists into the Defense Dept. and other agencies (aka, the "deep state") in positions that do not require confirmation, and may be difficult to remove. For example, Michael Ellis hired to be the NSA general counsel. Of course, I don't see why they can't assign him to the NSA office in Numbnuts, Alaska.
I hope soon-to-be ex-Senator Gardner is enjoying Disney World.
Nero fiddled while Rome burned. Cory rides the teacups during Trump’s attempted coup.
What's with all the doctors on Biden's COVID-19 task force? There's not a single incompetent pampered princeling son-in-law in the group!
Nor a pillow salesman.
Nothing says "total shitshow" quite like the involvement of the My Pillow guy in pandemic response.
Pretty sure that makes him a socialist
I like Al Franken.
He's not going to get the media attention until or unless he does/says something really stupid.
third time in the past 24 hours I've heard/seen/started a rumor that Buck and House are going to be replaced as CO GOP leadership.
I don't recall how many losses the last guy got..
Mornin’ polsters. Happy Birthday to cookies
betterother half! Has anyone spotted Fluffly waving treason signs on a courthouse lawn on the 5 o’clock news? Lots of long faces in the 51st state. Thrilled that I’m seeing an exodus of neighbors from ‘Fakebook’ to ‘Parler’ so they won’t be censored by Big Brother. Now they can play out their bigortry, racism, and conspiracy theories in broad daylight.ACA may have just dodged another bullet…..

Thanks for the link, R&R.
Right Wing Watch:
I'm not super-paranoid, but there is a LOT of disinformation being spewed by Steve Bannon's network, including Epoch and various social networks. Lot's of calls to get off facebook and onto Parlor. My few right-wing facebook friends are posting like crazy, and it is truly bat-shit stuff. A quick google and you see that it is mostly lies.
They are going full frontal with the fraud accusations.
Proud Boys have called off the stand-by order.
this is what the president de-elect wants. He could end it all with one tweet.
Instead he's going to feed the fire.
This is an important trend to follow. I have few RWNJs on my feed; some I keep around just to monitor what's going on over there.
The Right Wing propaganda ecosystem is trying to expand and consolidate its audience. MeWe and Parler are all part of this trend.
Follow the money and notice the people involved.
Steve Bannon is a self-described chaos agent, who came from Breitbart and pushed Steven Miller on Trump. He is managing a huge disinformation campaign across the US and Europe.
The Epoch times is a news source that the Falun Gong started, but I think is funded by the billionaire anti-China exile Guo Wengui, and boating buddy of Steve Bannon.
This is from is a NYT story on the Epoch Times.
While Pompeo promises ‘smooth transition to second Trump administration’
White House tells federal agencies to proceed with plans for Trump’s February budget in latest sign of election defiance
and orders agencies to rebuff Biden transition team
I'll bet he wishes he had run for that Kansas senate seat now…..
This is called, "pulling a Maduro" in this hemisphere.
Shh, don't tell the Venezuelan refugees in south Florida that there are parallels between Trump and Maduro.
Happy Birthday, Karen! and belatedly to dbarnes…
Still a ways to go, ya'll.
Thanks by proxy, Duke. You and Michael will make her tomorrow brighter.
Time to panic? Could the gop throw the election through the electors? Pompeo is hinting as much.

Thom Tillis has been declared the winner in North Carolina.
Thank you, Cal Cunningham's libido.
Cunningham is this year's winner of the Gary Hart/Bill Clinton traveling trophy: a gold-plated zipper. Sigh.
Cunningham was following in John Edwards' footsteps. Another pretty boy North Carolinian who snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
Maybe Fantasy Island next to the Four Seasons Landscaping will name a dildo after him.
<awkward> <your mommy hopes you can go back to normal life in NYC soon>
Here is another batshit crazy ERD (Election Result Denier) —-

After seeing Biden win and Gardner lose, this was the third most pleasant election outcome for me.
