I hope once the pressure of being president is off of him next January, Trump finally gets the help he really needs from medical professionals.  It may involve a padded room.

“I get nominated for three Nobel Peace Prizes on three different subjects. And I told the story the other night when I was in Florida, I told our First Lady ‘Darling, we’re going to have the greatest publicity I’ve ever had tonight. I got nominated for the Nobel Prize!… I turn on the television, they talked about your floods in Iowa. They talked about how Iowa is doing the crops…. 3-4 stories one after another… Where is my Nobel Peace Prize that they don’t talk about?” —President Donald J. Trump, last night in Iowa.

Trumpism is going to live on for the foreseeable future; like a skid mark that no amount of Clorox can dissolve.

An *actual* conversation in Yuma County this week:

Me: I see the front page of The Wray Gazette says we’ve had a death in the county from COVID. Does any know who it is?
Yuman: oh, that’s bullshit. No one is dying from COVID. It’s a damn hoax.
Me: but the story includes a press release from the health department. Are they lying?

Yuman: I know someone who knew this lady. She was in her home and dead for three days before someone found her. They just called it COVID so the hospital can get a big check.
Me: wait, the hospital? I thought you said she died at home?  Is Trump paying for people to die at home now?
Yuman: blink. stare. blink. stare. Well, it’s all bullshit and someone is getting paid BIG  to call it COVID.  Believe me.

      OK, Karen.

Kayleigh got with Donnie, Donnie got Christie
They were sharin' Donnie's outlook on the topic of disease
Mike Lee had a face fetish and Stephen was a racist
They were all in love with killin', especially darker faces

Kellyane played media like a kid out in the rain
They she lost her kid to Twitter, her career went down the drain
They were all in love with killin', they were spewin' with a fountain
That was pourin' from their open mouths with the bullshit they were toutin'

Some will die in IC beds with ventilator masks
Some will die in their own beds because they're out of cash
Some will die from gunshot wounds inspired by the fountain
That was pourin' from their open mouths with the bullshit they were toutin'

My wife has been getting regular fundraising requests from Trump, probably because she sent a letter to the White House critical of Trump but the vaunted Brad Parscale data mining operation didn't make that distinction.  So, each iteration of the fundraising request has said her donation would be matched by: 200%; 400%; 700: and now, 900% !!!

Funny that there is no indication who might be making those magical matching contributions.  Boy, are Trump supporters f-ing stupid.

Has everyone else also gotten a copy of "The Epoch Times"?  It was in my mailbox yesterday.  Apparently, they do this periodically in various media markets.

They seem to have more money than brains.  I wonder which fascist billionaire is funding the Falun Gong's HQ in New York.

538 Reports that the Democrats have a 75% chance of winning the Senate.

However, the two Georgia elections will go to a run-off on January 5, 2021.

What political events will occur between Nov 3 and Jan 5?
Trump loses but calls for overthrowing the election.
Some turmoil the week after the election
SCOTUS decides the fate of the ACA
Will Georgia run-off voters be jubilant Democrats or vengeful Republicans.

I predict that SCOTUS does NOT overturn the ACA because the replacement would be much more generous and universal. Too bad, because that would probably throw the Georgia Senate seats to the Democrats.

Are people watching the Biden  town hall tonight?

Biden town hall: https://youtu.be/9ZZzfrapNvo 428,000 watchers as of 7:11

The Trump town hall? (probably not). I couldn’t stand to watch him rant for one minute, let alone 90. But as of 7:12 pm, it had 104,030 views.;)

I watched long enough to hear him answer a serious, respectful question about police violence towards racial minorities with his old canard about having done more for African Americans than any other president. ugh. Click.
The sad thing is that in our Fear Leader’s steroid-warped brain, this is a legit “ratings war”.
    He’s losing.
BTW, he did make some news: he refused to denounce QAnon.

Maddow on MSNBC, NBC’s affiliate, seems to be confining herself to fact checking the FL’s lies.

I miss simpler times, times in which we could kick back and enjoy a nice, wholesome story about an office holder resigning in disgrace over sexting with a female reporter untroubled by the presence of a QAnon whacko.

Meanwhile just seven miles downstream from the headwaters of the Republican River, Sasse is saying the quiet part out loud:

Sasse blasted Trump in constituent phone call: 'He kisses dictators' butts'

Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) blasted President Trump saying he "mistreats women," "kisses dictators' butts" and privately mocks evangelical to constituents in a recording obtained by the Washington Examiner.
