At times, I bemoan my fate as a tireless worker, trying to salvage a shattered branch of my geneology. I do, however, read alot; and have been told I like to share.

We have discussed Empire here often, and Parsing in particular has given us many facts…history tells the rest of the story of Empire.

When I was 18 and hitch hiking to Seattle, down the coast to San Diego, and home….between HS graduation and my freshman year in college (my girlfriend broke up with me in a small WI town, and I had to get out of Dodge for three months!) I read:

The Power Elite-a book written in 1956 by the sociologist, C. Wright Mills.

This book was instructive!

Since then, I KNOW what the proverbial mushroom feels like growing up…keep me in the dark and feed me shit. Look, the media is a branch of the MIC, the corporatists and the oligarchs….NOONE can convince me otherwise, and for those readers who think otherwise….COME ON!

There are readers here who will dismiss this post as from a “conspiracist”. Look, there is irrefutable evidence that the power elite has us all bought and sold. We’ve been, up until recently, allowed to keep enough crumbs to keep us quiet. Now, with the QUANTITY of MONEY being taken out of the system….who can deny the corporatists hoarding their profits…or the banks not lending…that there is a wholesale pressure being put on the middle class to seize and transfer their assets (foreclosures)? Its blatant, but not understood by many.

We need strong, enlightened, fearless leadership. Obama has been “gotten to” and I don’t blame him. If I were the first Afro-American President, I wouldn’t want to be the FIRST asassinated Afro-American President either. The weight on his shoulders is immense.

I’m eternally optimistic. It’s in my genes, in my soul, and in my heart. However out of kilter the world is, it can right itself.

I believe it has to start with the money supply, and the distribution of that money. It needs to continue with transparent government and the dismantling of the MIC.

I am, frankly, saddened and discouraged by those on this site….and it’s most of you, who are willing to remain mushrooms.

There, I said it.

When we look back, and look at the tragedies of our lives…remember that no individual resides on an island. Our collective misery, depression, discouragement, tragedies result from SOMETHING! Let us all take an honest look at what crimps our spirits, dulls our god given intelligence, prevents us from inheriting our mantle of greatness….and destroys us and our children.

There may be a lot of time to correct the ship, the shoals may be closer than we can see….the crash may be gentle or it may be fierce.

To the degree that I can look into the future, I see trouble. Lets hope it happens slow enough to allow for the ship we’re all passengers on to avoid the worst of fates.
