Denver District Court Judge Hood heard arguments this morning from Maes supporters trying to keep his campaign on life support.
The thinking evidently goes something like this:
.
.
If Tancredo, who is currently on the SOS-certified ballot, is removed from the ballot,
costing every Colorado County thousands, tens of thousands, or possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars,
and most likely causing 50 or so of the 64 counties to violate federal law as far as meeting the deadline for mailing out ballots to military voters overseas,
then there is a possibility, however slim, of Dan garnering 25% or so of the votes in the Goober-natorial race, salvaging for him (and them) some dignity.
They assume that, given no choice but Hick and Maes, at least that many will mistakenly mark Dan when they mean John.
BUT —
if Tommy the Tanc gets to stay on the ballot,
confusing the voters with too many choices, including a viable conservative choice,
then its coitans for Dan’s Amaesing Race.
