Been a huge TMBG fans my entire life…when I was working at the US Courts, I pitched the idea to the head of Public Affairs that they should sign them up to do an album (aimed at high schoolers) about the Courts and the different roles they’ve had over the years.
This is a group that has songs about Polk and a cover of Tippicanoe and Tyler Too….
they could be “Schoolhouse Rock” for a new generation. I like that idea.

They take news clips and write songs. The newest one is on iTunes and has almost 4 million hits already. Really clever stuff.
They’ve got a whole youtube channel with periodical videos – “Autotune the News”.
I think I saw this on Ace of Spades HQ the other day, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite blogs.
You might know I’ve recently been reliving my childhood through my toddler, and am digging up old Pete Seeger nuggets.
It’s the wrong season, so drag the FF slider to 0:52 to skip the XMas song. I consider this more of a spiritual than a holiday song.

This was on a DVD we checked out from the library last year. I think the animation has that special weirdness that only came in the early 70s, thus my wife hated it and I loved it.
