PLEASE, don't Quit the Democratic Party over the results of the Senate Primary

  • by: John Kennedy

PLEASE, don’t Quit the Party,

stay registered as a Democrat and raise hell as a registered Democrat,

it will drive them crazy in November when they realize a huge number of registered Democrats

WILL LEAVE THE SPACE FOR BENNET “BLANK”.

Campaign “against” Bennet with the same gusto that you did for Romanoff. We are not sheep. Show the party leaders we aren’t.

AND HAVE FUN DOING IT.

    1. To which I will reply.

Under the Constitution one is guaranteed the right to be as rude, crude and uncivil as one wants, all the while accusing the other side of doing it first, worst, and longest.

      How like Karl Rove.

      1. of a Romanoff supporter chiding Bennet on the question of “civility.”

You and your scorched-earth buddies can take a flying fuck at a rolling donut. And keep in mind that I’m an independent liberal who was leaning Romanoff the last two weeks.

        1. This idiot was an embarrassment to most AR supporters long before this primary ended. He is against any and everyone currently in office because they inevitably fail to do every idiotic thing he thinks they should be doing. If Romanoff won the election, he would be calling for his resignation by February.

  1. Objectively it is not the sole reason, but for myself, nihilistic ravings by the fringe, like this one, are why Romanoff was soundly defeated last night.

  2. and now refuse to support Bennet, you never understand Romanoff to begin with and are abandoning the principles for which he stands.

Please do not misuse the name of a good man to justify your political ignorance.

  3. Plenty of evidence that the Republican Party ain’t the Grand Old Party of yesteryear, having moved rather far to the right and having adopted a policy of obfuscation today, obfuscation tomorrow, obfuscation forever (or until we win a majority).

In response, the center of the Democratic party has also moved to the right, illustrating the fallacy of “moderation” or “middle of the road.” If extremists on one side move the boundaries, the “center” also moves, wholly at the whim of one side. In terms of mathematics: if one “extreme” wants 0 and the other “extreme” demands 10, the middle is 5 (“praise compromise from which all blessings flow“). If the one extreme then demands 20, the middle moves to … 10!

By hewing to the notion of party loyalty in the face of an assault by the Far Right, the Left is left, as it were, with … nothing: no home in the political spectrum that represents its interests, that voices its solutions. In practice, pressing problems go unaddressed, and the Grand Obfuscation Party wins by preventing any solution at all.

A problem of the hallowed “two party system” of immense proportions. No easy solution, which does NOT mean that the first solution that springs to mind is a good one.

    1. Good, JO

“By hewing to the notion of party loyalty in the face of an assault by the Far Right, the Left is left, as it were, with … nothing”

Given that Bennet will probably lose the General,

Nothing is all the Colorado Democratic Party will get out of the immense effort

it will take by part activists to elect him.

  4. I’m not happy Bennet won, personally I think Romanoff would have been the better Senator.

But to have Democrats campaign against their own candidate?! You are sheep listening to the crazy voices in your head.

You don’t have to like the party leaders to recognize the stupidity of what you’re advocating.

Please ignore this plea for further division. Nothing good will come of it.

    1. That is sorely needed.

Ritter and his advisor Obama are the ones who caused this “division”.

Let the Party Leaders reap what they sow.

      1. You are just as irrelevant now as you were when you were calling for Bush’s impeachment a month before the 2008 election, and calling everybody who didn’t agree with you a traitor. That was you wasn’t it? I somehow got on your lunatic email listserv, or you took over somebody else’s or something like that.

Please crawl back to your antagonistic little hole. Perhaps David Sirota is waiting for you.

    1. of consummate discipline, huh? The Rs used to have that down pat in Rove/Bush/Cheney/DeLay/Abramoff days. How’d that work out for your side btw?

    2. The sequence of BJ’s existence on pols:

      1) Make up lies – death panels, etc.

      2) After losing like 18 arguments against Steve Harvey, trick him and game the refs to kick him out — like any cowardly whiney bitch who can’t win on the merits.

      3) Repeat-post the same shit all over, like the schizo telling the same tale of why he’s wearing the tin-foil helmet.

        1. to remember that you gave out all that information yourself.

I’ve come around on the issue of whether he crossed the line with you, but you’re not blameless.

And keep in mind that the Dems aren’t in goosestep lockstep when it comes to voting. Just one more thing the GOP has in common with Fascists.

        2. I remember when Triguardian was banned – there were some hints and allegations after the banning about identity and that drew warnings.

When you are outing someone – please do it in a separate diary so it can be referenced easily.

    3. This is the same strategy that worked so well in getting Clinton supporters to vote for McCain and Palin, right?

“Hey DemonCrap dumbasses, now that the Communazi liberal beat the Nazicommie leftist you supported, why don’t you morons vote for a Republican? We’re friendly and welcoming.”

        1. that women would support Palin because she also had one of those vajayjay thingies like girls do.

You were told stupid things by politicians who thought you were an idiot.

            1. http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/P

Women NEVER supported Palin. Her approval was pretty much always higher with men than with women, and that divide got worse the more women found out about her positions.

I think you underestimate just how dumb McCain and other Republican leaders think you are. They really bet it all on disappointed women Clinton supporters flocking to Palin. It failed hilariously.
