  • by: Colorado Pols

Make your predictions below on who you think will win the big statewide Primary races. Get them in before 7:00 tonight to make sure you get full bragging rights for a correct answer, and we’ll think up some sort of prize for the person who makes the most correct predictions.

PREDICTIONS

  • U.S. Senate (Democrats)

  • U.S. Senate (Republicans)

  • Governor (Republicans)

  • Treasurer (Republicans)
  • Tiebraker: The total number of votes cast in the Republican Primary for Treasurer.

Make sure to put your predictions in a numerical, percentages format. For example: Walker Stapleton over J.J. Ament, 54-46

      1. with all the info:

        Bennet over Romanoff 53-47

        Buck over Norton 54-46

        Maes over McInnis 52-48

        Stapleton over Ament 56-44

        Total R Treasurer: 310,000

      1. Romanoff over Bennet 51-49

With a big controversy over provisional ballots dragging this thing out way too long.

        Romanoff ends up winning anyway.

        Buck over Norton 55-45

        Maes over McInnis 52-48

And Cary Kennedy is going to win the General so who cares.

    3. Bennet over Romanoff – 52.6% – 47.4%

      Buck over Norton – 54% – 46%

      McInnis over Maes – 51% – 49%

      Ament over Stapleton – 52% – 48%

Total number of R votes for Treasurer: 435,532

    4. There’s a reason television seasons only include 13 episodes: the writers can’t come up with new material. Same with political seasons: blog hosts can’t come up with new subjects.

Beyond that, the subject has become boring. No new comments or pithy observations; just the same old same old. Shill! Liar! Ass! Liar! Bullshit! Liar! Sandinista! (ok, scratch the last one.)

Why bother predicting anything a mere 180 (or is it 240) minutes before we’ll know for a fact? Better to use the time to stock up on shill swill (do all Romanoffskis drink vodka?) or cheap Midwestern colored water sold as “beer” whose one-time advertising symbol is probably extinct (or am I thinking of the beer that made Milwaukee famous?) for the Bennetistas. Whatever. It’s been a boring contest between two fundamentally boring candidates, neither of whom seems poised to accomplish very much, at least not in the next two years, and neither one of whom has offered any cool new ideas that I can remember.

Might as well settle back and watch Rome burn, watch the society fly apart, and yes, use the Senate as our soporific. Good night, Irene. (And yes, on this topic, that’s a promise. Zzzzzzzz.)

      1. or is just grumpy that we won’t have Romanoff to kick around tomorrow.

If you don’t want to talk about politics on a primary day with record turnout then why in the hell are you reading political junkie taunts when your Gardenia beds need weeding?

      2. Plenty of redundant drivel and nasty ad hominem attacks here – thankfully punctuated by the rare sign of an intelligent, educated, skeptical mind.

        Bennet by 5, 52.5:47.5

        Buck by 6: 53:47

        McInnis by 1: 50.5:49.5

Not a betting man, so don’t care about the rest.

    5. US Senate, Democrats: Bennet over Romanoff, 51-49

US Senate, Republicans: Buck over Norton, 53-47

Governor, Republicans: Maes over McInnis, 50-50

Treasurer, Republicans: Stapleton over Ament, 54-46

      Tiebreaker: 322,109

      1. It is embarrassing that I was dancing around the living room during their episodes but not as embarrassing as your predictions.  Just kidding.  I’ll be eating a lot of crow tomorrow if your guy pulls it out.

      2. You have always been very reasoned and respectable. I have not always followed your good example.  Emotions get the better some times, obviously. 🙂

    6. Bennet 53 Romanoff 47

      Norton 54 Buck 46

McInnis 58 Maes 42 (with a not insignificant undervote)

      Ament 55 Stapleton 45

      (R) Treasurer ballots cast 350,000

    7. 7 will  pick McPlagiarist over 6 votes for Tin Foil Danny

      Maes.

        Bennet 53 Romo 47

High Heels 50.5 Bullshit Boots 49.5  BJ Wilson is disqualified for voting 45 times for Buck and banished to Square State.

      Ament 52 Stapleton Airort 48

    11. Bennett: 53-47

      Buck: 51-49

McInnis: 53-47 But they are really voting for, “I hope we can get someone capable like Marceaux, when McInnis quits”

Stapleton: 52-48 But really does anyone know who either of these guys are. Other than an old airport.

      R Treasurer 258,542
