Dems could have had some fun but they are so damn serious. Kind of like the people who post here…
3,525 people voted for Basil.
Figure some – 1/2 ? were joking or didn’t care.
But what about the rest?
I can think of 2 — him and the guy who films him because he wants to keep the gig (for some unknown reason).
and run against Paul Wellday. He seems like he has no sense of humor.
He seems to run every election cycle. Maybe he got a few votes just on name recognition.
Number One – Here we have YET ANOTHER EXAMPLE of CPols’ egregious bias: Basil Marceaux did not get ZERO percent of the vote in last night’s Tennessee GOP primary. He actually received 0.48% of the vote! A correction is clearly in order.
Number Two – I for one am deeply disappointed and more than a little surprised about Basil’s showing.
Finally – NOW, will DickWad & Co. PLEASE buy Basil a one-way bus ticket to Colorado? So he can be in place to take Scottie’s place next week for a glorious run to victory in November. A man can always hope.

This guy is a mentally-defective fellow who, this election cycle, happened to be massively exploited by some corporate tool intent on selling t-shirts and promoting his own viral videos.
Those quaint “campain” videos were actually made by a sleazy professional You-tuber.
It’s one step above a freak show, if you ask me.
Seems there’s some symbiosis there.

Great symbolism: A fat guy making a huge deal out of pulling a dinky little pickup truck on huge tires. His chains aren’t even taut, so he’s obviously faking the forward lean. And his American flag has GOLD FRINGE on it.

Remember this is the same state that elected Michelle Bachmann, she of the Tea Party Caucus.
They also elected John Kline, who wants St. Ronnie on the $50 instead of Grant.
