The GOP isn’t alone in putting up horrifically lousy humans as candidates for office but the GOP has been winning in that contest this year. Plagiarist, liar, debt-dodger and unabashed oil and gas shill Scott McInnis, running for governor in the year of repeat horrific oil spills, is a running comedy sketch of a catastrophe. The question is no longer whether McInnis can defeat Colorado opponents Dan Maes or John Hicknlooper. It’s whether or not he’s more embarrassing to his party than Tennesee GOP guv candidate Basil Marceaux.
