Ritter joins veterans’ bike tour in Colo. Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) – Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter is joining a group of disabled veterans on a national bike tour.
Ritter will join the 22 veterans for a portion of their ride between Colorado Springs and Denver on Friday.
The veterans on the Sea to Shining Sea trek represent all branches of the military. They’re riding nearly 4,000 miles from over 63 days to honor men and women serving in the military.
Organizers say the ride is showing what disabled Americans can accomplish.
They plan to reach Virginia Beach on July 24.
