Obamastalgia Hits Colorado As Former President Dishes Love

A sight for sore eyes.

USA TODAY’s John Fritze via 9NEWS, and you know how you miss yourself some Number 44:

Former President Barack Obama announced endorsements Wednesday of 81 Democratic candidates in the November midterm elections, and said he is “eager” to help his party gain seats in a contest widely seen as a referendum on President Donald Trump.

While Obama did not mention Trump by name, he said in the public statement outlining his plans that he wanted to lend his status to help candidates who would fight for shared opportunity, help repair alliances abroad and further a commitment to justice…

Fully 13 of the 81 candidates endorsed so far by former President Barack Obama are running in Colorado–a disproportionate number that reflects the importance of Democrats holding the Governor’s Mansion, and in particular retaking the state senate. Four Democratic women this wear, Reps. Faith Winter, Brittany Pettersen, Jessie Danielson along with SD-16 candidate Tammy Story, represent the hopes of Democrats of ending the GOP’s one-seat holdout majority blamed for both gridlock and an unchecked culture of sexual harassment in that chamber under outgoing Senate President Kevin Grantham.

One thing’s for sure: if Obama comes to Colorado to campaign for local Democrats this fall, he’ll get a much warmer welcome over than the current occupant of the White House. The only reason we can think of for Donald Trump to stump outside the reddest of red states is to shore up Trump’s ago, and that does not win elections. Obama would win votes instead of cost them, a principal goal of stumping for a candidate.

The President who carried the state twice before Trump lost it is no liability. Colorado would elect Obama again.

    1. Wow!!!  That was some powerful stuff you laid down there MAGAt.  I'm totally floored by those two words you wrote.  Well, I might be if they came from somebody who has credibility, and a functioning brain.

    1. Joe Neguse didn't get endorsed either even though if he wins, he will be the first African American to serve in Congress from the state of Colorado.  They must have thought that Obama's endorsement in these races would be a net benefit.
