Crisanta Duran joins an already crowded field for term-limited Joel Judd’s House seat.
Crisanta Duran, a sixth-generation Coloradan with strong ties to labor, is the fourth Democrat running to represent House District 5 in the legislature..
The other candidates are:
Jose Silva (no fundraising reported)
J.J. Swiontek (no fundraising reported)
Mark Thrun ($15,692.90 Cash on Hand)
The internal UFCW elections sidelined Duran long enough for Thrun to get well out ahead, and December is a notoriously rough month to catch up in fundraising, but Duran has friends and family with deep pockets and the ability to put boots on the ground. Nobody has a lock on this race, but I am sure both Thrun and Duran would have both preffered the UFCW vote to have gone her way.
