(Gardner will need to do a LOT better than this to win in 2010. What’s the word for “opposite of momentum?” – promoted by Colorado Pols)
Betsy Markey raised $343,000 in the third quarter and has built a $751,000 bankroll, her campaign told me today.
Cory Gardner’s campaign will report raising about $188,000 in the quarter with $280,000 cash on hand, his campaign told me.
Here’s an early version of my story at Coloradoan.com:
A more detailed version will be up Thursday morning.
I haven’t heard yet on Tom Lucero’s numbers, but he told me earlier this week that his third quarter report will surpass what he raised total in the first two quarters, which was only $28,000.
The Draft Diggs Brown effort is winding down and ceased aggressive fundraising after July, when they were told they wouldn’t be able to contribute more than $5,000 to a Brown candidacy if it came about.

So, what’s that, $29,000 for Lucero?
but it looks like she’s raised about 2 1/2 times as much money as he has and that’s a nice position to be in. I honestly expected Garner to raise much more. In fact, the kind of numbers Markey put up are the kind Musgrave used to raise. Nice to see a Dem raising the big bucks in this district, for a change.
And the religious conservatives have other more pressing causes like the Maine ballot initiative next month.
Are you insinuating that the Birthers are a bunch of tightwads? 🙂
Slowmentum?
Nomentum?
when he was talking about his “Big Mo” and “Little Mo.”
the Little Mo, if he’s got any Mo at all.
Springer Spaniel. Great dog. Far more intelligent than the Skippy posting here, I might add.
He’s two parts of “God only knows what.” Shelter dog.
His eyes are something else, aren’t they? Almost human.
Looks like he has some Terrier running around in there.
He’s medium-large–65 lbs.
They are the absolute best in many ways. It’s like you take all of the quirky traits from the purebreds out when you get a mix and you are left with all of the things you like most about each breed. Mixes are also less inclined to the health problems that purebreds are genetically predisposed to.
