I figured that since the others were diaries, even though I did post this in the open thread, that fair is fair to acknowledge Scott McInnis’ take, from the Sentinel:
Former U.S. Rep. Scott McInnis, R-Grand Junction, garnered $550,000 to take first place in the money race among candidates for governor.
McInnis outpaced the incumbent, Bill Ritter, a Democrat, who reported collecting $452,000 and state Senate Minority Leader Josh Penry, R-Grand Junction, who collected $419,000 in his bid.
UPDATE Some of the questions I posed were answered by Douglasm under the open thread:
From the Post
1706 donors and 92% were in state.
So, McInnis out raised Penry from 200+ more donors. Both claim 92% from within Colorado. Ritter got the most donors.
UPDATE2-Penry came in third, Ritter was between him and McInnis. My mistake.
The big questions outstanding are the breakdowns:
In state v. outof-state?-
Who got the oil and gas money-And if it split-who got what oil and gas money (i.e. independents v. multi-nationals)? Who got the most donors?
Still, that both (viable) GOP challengers either out raised or nearly matched Gov. Ritter must make some folks pretty nervous over there on Colfax.
