(Uh, this didn’t already happen at least once? – promoted by Colorado Pols)
You read it right, folks. Former disgraced Congressman Scott McInnis has decided it’s time to announce his candidacy for Governor next week. In an e-mail to both of his supporters, he says:
Join us October 8th to welcome Scott McInnis for Governor.
You and your friends are invited to join
Scott McInnis as he formally announces his candidacy for Governor of ColoradoThursday, October 8th, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.
A casual campaign kick-off event in El Paso County as Scott McInnis travels the state of Colorado on his “It’s About Colorado” announcement tour!

The floodgates are officially open. What do you think? Now that he’s decided to “formally” announce his candidacy does that mean he’s been a faux candidate up to this point? Clearly his performance to date suggests as much, but why in the world would he launch a “formal” announcement tour when he’s been a candidate for Governor for months?
