Cleve Tidwell Won't Name Staffers For "Security Reasons"

  • by: Leonard Smalls

In the latest twist in the story of the enigma that is Cleve Tidwell, Tidwell tells the Colorado Statesman that he can’t release the names of anyone working for his campaign for “security reasons”:

I’m not releasing any names or positions for security reasons,” said Tidwell.

• The candidate said two key staff members – James Cagle and Sean Doherty – have left the campaign to work on other projects.

Cleve seems to be borrowing a page from ousted Honduran president Manuel Zelaya in imagining “security threats”:

“We are being threatened with death” Zelaya told the Miami Herald, adding that “Israeli mercenaries” are torturing him with high-frequency radiation at his refuge at the Brazilian embassy, where he has been since returning to the Central American country on Monday.

A poll follows.

Who is Cleve afraid is going to "get" his staff?

  1. ousted Honduran president Zelaya. Tidwell is obsessed with Zelaya, he tweets the guy’s every move and, it would seem, wants to organize a counter-insurgency to restore the man to power. They are brothers in the struggle, I guess.

    1. “Cleve Tidwell” is what’s known as a “legend” in the black ops biz. Another “handle” the guy’s used is “Bob Beauprez.” Long story. Very hush hush, but lots of flair. Something to do with a Top Secret, Reagan-approved operation involving the transport of an endangered animal, an ambush in the Hindu Kush that left a good man dead, and that submarine extraction off the coast of North Korea.

  2. Maybe Cleve is worried about leaking the names of his staffers to himself, because if he finds out who’s working for his campaign then he might have to take a bullet for them.

    1. .

now that the big line has been updated to remove folks with zero chance (except for personal friends from Canon City,) I don’t recall if he was running for Guv or the Senate.  Or one of the CD’s.

      .

        1. Hondorus President line:

          Interim President Roberto Micheletti: 8:1

          Ousted President Manuel Zelaya: 10:1

Cleve Tidwell: 50:1 (Still better odds than him winning Senate or Governor though)
