Lauren Boebert, Rocket Surgeon

As you might expect, Colorado Congressperson Lauren Boebert (R-Somewhere in Weld County) was living it up over the weekend, flitting around from one party to the next during the festivities surrounding the Presidential Inauguration.

Boebert may have been enjoying herself, but it wasn’t all play and no work. On Saturday, Boebert was trying very hard to make friends with President Trump’s Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles…

Or, you know, somebody who looked like Susie Wiles. As The Spectator reports:

Socialite of the weekend: Colorado congresswoman Lauren Boebert, who spent a decent chunk of Saturday’s America First Policy Institute ball trying to ingratiate herself with Susie Wiles. One small problem: she wasn’t talking to Wiles, just a woman from the Midwest who looks slightly like her. [Pols emphasis] Boebert was also spotted attempting to big-time her way into VIP with her sculpted himbo companion. On Sunday she found herself in a spirited discussion with staff in VIP at the Turning Point USA ball, as well as cutting a rug with Kid Rock.

Oy.

In Boebert’s defense, Wiles does look like every middle-aged Karen you’ve ever met in your life. But we’d really love to know how this conversation went on Saturday night. Did the other woman wonder at any point why Boebert was spending so much time talking to her? Did Boebert ever find herself questioning why she was getting to spend so much one-on-one time with Trump’s Chief of Staff?

If this story had happened to anyone else but Boebert, we’d almost find it hard to believe.
