Our own bjwilson83, caught sockpuppeting for Ken Buck on Facebook!

  • by: JeffcoBlue

Take a look at this! Note that I went to great pains to not reveal any identifying information, and not to violate any of this blog’s terms regarding outing of other users. I am not attempting to out the true-life identity of anyone. To hinder accessing personal information, I made screengrabs instead of linking and copying text.

But one of the most prolific Republican commenters on Colorado Pols, bjwilson83, appears to have been caught red-handed masquerading as a Democrat to post troll-type comments on Sen. Michael Bennet’s Facebook posts! Check out these screengrabs:

That’s the publicly accessible profile page of “David Chestnut,” a self described Democrat and religious agnostic. “David Chestnut” has been very busy making friends!

But oh no, what’s this? Cover blown! “Commenting,” ha ha, on a post from Sen. Bennet:

Oh no, Beej! You really should have been more careful. So here are my questions:

1. You have previously said you work, at least in a volunteer capacity, for the Buck campaign. Is this activity sanctioned by the campaign? Is your immediate supervisor at the Buck campaign aware of this activity? Is any other employee or volunteer of the Buck campaign aware of it? Do other volunteers/employees participate?

2. Do you consider it honest politics to represent yourself as an “agnostic Democrat,” when you clearly are not? Or to imply you support “single payer” health care when you do not?

3. How could you be so stupid as to use an email address that is readily identifiable? You can plead the 5th on this one.

I feel bad for you, Beej, resorting to such cheap false flag tactics on behalf of your increasingly desperate candidate, living out the conspiracies you see everywhere. But I can’t say I’m surprised.

    1. I hope this doesn’t violate any terms of use. It shouldn’t based on my understanding of them.

If you mean Beej, isn’t that his boss at the Buck campaign’s decision?

      😉

    2. I thought the “out” had to be at least probably true though.  I understand the rule about using past information (understand how it works anyway), but based on what lives in my little memory this “David” isn’t bjwilson83’s real name.

I’m also under the impression that the real whomever has to stand up to pursue a complaint, as it were.

      Could be wrong.

Sorry if you’re banned or anything, JeffcoBlue.

      Meanwhile, it’s interesting.

  1. we’ll find out David Chestnut is the one responsible for the false-flag vandalism at the Denver Republican Party headquarters. At least Angie Attack had some style.

  2. Find him (David Chestnut) on Facebook and flag his comments on Sen. Bennet’s site as spam. If enough people do this, his comments may be removed.

  3. for Whom Would Jesus Sockpuppet?

Because Jesus was a big fan of lying whenever necessary, just like the commandments say, right? Or was it the other way around?

Did teacher mommy forget to cover the commandment about lying in home school? I’d figured with all the time she saved not covering science or history or other cultures, she at least could nail down all 10 commandments.

  4. “Interests: Women” (because while he’s being anonymous, he sure wouldn’t want anyone to think he might be A Gay)

“Employers: Unemployed Looking for work” (so, no longer a student?)

    1. This all actually appears on BJ’s “David Chestnut” split personality Facebook page:

      David likes Steve Harvey (Politician)

      David likes Michael Moore

Among other things BJ David “likes”:

      Repeal Don’t Ask Don’t Tell

      Jersey Shore

      Katy Perry

      Glee Alan Grayson

BJ, I hope that when the Nice Folks In White Coats come for you and try to resolve your split personalities, they find that David Chestnut was your real personality all along, and this creepy “BJ Wilson” is just a disturbed alternate personality that arose from some suppressed trauma that can be cured promptly.

David, in the interest of furthering the effort to cure you of this BJ personality, I will be calling you David C from now on — to reinforce the man you should be, not the too-creepy-to-be-real personality you’ve been displaying here.

This all just made my day. Eternal thanks to JeffcoBlue, who now should be Pols FPE and Emperor for Life — but even bigger thanks to our newly recovered friend David C!

  5. Is the use of campaign volunteers to act as fake Democrats to engage in vote suppression activities online a sanctioned policy of the Buck campaign?

Wow, it suddenly got all quiet and serious in here.

    1. (not in evidence yet based on what’s shown above) vote suppression is a federal crime. Maybe that penalty box won’t look so bad compared to the another facility that might be in BJ’s future, eh?

      1. How about let’s let Beej shit his pants for a minute.

Then I’ll admit that I was talking about vote suppression in the psyops sense, not the federal crime sense. I seriously doubt what he’s doing is a crime, any more than “Democrats for Nixon” was a crime.

But it might be an interesting news story…

        1. so the thought of a prosecution-happy DOJ going after fake-Facebook accounts probably fits right into his world these days.

Bernie Madhoff, meet your new cell-mate! It’s David “BJ” Chestnut. And no, we don’t know what the BJ stands for.

          1. Hey Beej! What if I am a federal agent too! I’m probably not, but you don’t know!

I’m serious about this being a newsworthy item, too. Joe Trippi had to apologize for this shit. The Post has written about similar things.

  6. I am just glad to know that apparently a lot of the so called Democrats who are saying they will not vote for Bennet are actually sock puppets. Kind of reminds me of the PUMA movement. Anyone checked on Sirota yet?

  7. After his whining column in yesterday’s Daily Prophet, in which he bemoaned liberals who use social networking sites to gin up stories, he should be intensely interested in our Beej’s activities.

  8. David of a little chest and lacking a few nuts . . . WTF Beej?

Now that everything you’ve ever written is in doubt, I can only surmise that you’re “interested in  ‘women'” because you’re actually a closeted lesbian.

  9. Fucking hilarious if it weren’t so sad. How stupid do you have to be to use your easily identifiable e-mail address?

I guess Beej doesn’t have as much faith in his candidate as he would like us all to believe. Or he just enjoys being a sneaky, lying, devious, hypocritical, sinner.

Either way, he’s got some serious issues and I hope this comes to the attention of the press. Someone should approach the Buck campaign and ask if they approve of this behavior.

    1. How stupid do you have to be to use your easily identifiable e-mail address?

Did you forget who we are talking about?

      sneaky, lying, devious, hypocritical, sinner

Mind you, this proves that above all other things, Beej is just a gigantic idiot.

    2. “David Chestnut” listed as his Facebook “likes” various things he assumed liberals would like (30 Rock, Daily Show, etc.) — but also the “Autism Spectrum Test”!  Apparently your armchair diagnosis convinced him or he already knew, that he might well get a high score.

Of course, the big disclaimer here is that BJ has proven to be a total jerk and idiot in a way that many wonderful folks with Asperger’s and high-functioning Autism don’t at all have. So you’d diagnosed only the most harmless parts of how BJ seems to view the world differently from many others; the more nasty parts of how he views the world are a different issue entirely.

      1. Actually I have an acquaintance who has Asperger’s. David Chestnut aka Beej exhibits some of the social akwardness combined with the concentration on Math are a big red flag. If there is anything Mr. Chestnut has shown over and over it’s his inability to handle any kind of social situation.

My guess is that Mother Chestnut wasn’t trained to spot the symptoms so he went undiagnosed.

    1. Because BJ/David’s posts have been so ridiculously over-the-top that they almost seem designed to harm the GOP.

      Almost.

I’m just going to like to refer to BJ as “ChestNutz” from now on. An homage to TruckNutz (http://www.trucknutz.com – the greatest invention ever).

    1. David, we hardly knew ye.

Seldom has one so bright blazed across the sky so quickly.

Let’s hope the Department of Justice cached the pages before young David tried to destroy the evidence …

    1. to take down Buck Chestnut’s facebook page (although it did take nearly four hours).

In my next incarnation I think I’ll come here as BJChestnut83.69 — you will of course still be so personally offended then?

      1. if you actually guess who I am before November 2nd, I’ll go away . . . forever.  If you don’t, then BJWilson83 leaves Pols . . . forever.

You get three guesses per day.  Hurry and you can still get three guesses in on the 25th.

          1. I’m still here.

Your three guesses for today are spent.

Since you’ve obviously accepted my challenge, only eight more days until Pols is BJWilson83 free — assuming you have any honor whatsoever.

    2. You are a gigantic hypocrite. One is a parody. What you were doing was clearly impersonating an imaginary person–not the writing style of someone on a blog.

I can’t believe you gave me so much shit for my screename. Hy-po-crite.

Seriously, your sloppy sock puppeting is going to be what people associate you with now. Before it was just being a pain in the ass of some liberal bloggers. Now you’re the new triguardian–only 50 times more lame.

        1. would that be a buckable offense?

And your impersonation of an Asshat, simply an offense against constructive thought?

Pols seems OK with me, was Facebook OK with Dildo Chestnut?

              1. According to Facebook’s Terms of Service:

Facebook users provide their real names and information, and we need your help to keep it that way. Here are some commitments you make to us relating to registering and maintaining the security of your account:

You will not provide any false personal information on Facebook, or create an account for anyone other than yourself without permission.

You will not create more than one personal profile.

If we disable your account, you will not create another one without our permission.

You will not use your personal profile for your own commercial gain (such as selling your status update to an advertiser).

You will not use Facebook if you are under 13.

You will not use Facebook if you are a convicted sex offender.

You will keep your contact information accurate and up-to-date.

You will not share your password, (or in the case of developers, your secret key), let anyone else access your account, or do anything else that might jeopardize the security of your account.

You will not transfer your account (including any page or application you administer) to anyone without first getting our written permission.

If you select a username for your account we reserve the right to remove or reclaim it if we believe appropriate (such as when a trademark owner complains about a username that does not closely relate to a user’s actual name).

                Protecting Other People’s Rights

So, beej, if you’re like most college students and you already have a facebook profile, well, you broke a TOS. You also “provided false personal information.”

You’re not allowed to do this. Period.

          1. He’s one of those guys who really believes that just believing in Jesus Christ is enough. He’s absolutely free to ignore ALL the stuff that God and Jesus told you to do and not to do, to pick and choose from that rather than follow the whole plan. He believes in Hell but thinks his faith will allow him to break commandments with impunity.

I really don’t know how such a theology ever took hold. We are all sinners and can’t live our lives free of it, but there’s no way that someone can sin without remorse and expect to see Heaven. Yet there are millions who believe just that.

            1. Ephesians 2:8-9 (King James Version)

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

I never got this part about Christianity.  Christ-like deeds do not redeem you, faith does.

Blaah!  This agnostic Jew likes Buddhism better.

              1. Matthew 7 says that doing God’s will is what will get you to Heaven, and that following the words of the Lord in deed is the foundation on which you should build your life.

It is also perhaps the basis for the end of the Ephesians quote above, saying that boasting of deeds done in the name of the Lord will not get you to Heaven.  The boasting bit appears to be the important part, not whether it is faith or works.

                1. there’s little reason for all the parables, let alone Commandments, if it wasn’t His intention that you follow their lessons and instructions in real life.

              2. I was in prison and you visited me.

I was thirsty and you gave me drink.

I was hungry and you gave me food.

Yea, verily, as you did under these, the least of my people, you did unto me.

                  __the gospel bjwilson never read.

              3. In the west, we often confuse “faith” with “belief.” As in, “Do you believe in God?” But faith is not about believing in unprovable propositions. Faith is about being true to a conviction.

So, Ephesians is often misunderstood, in my opinion, as being a statement about believing in something. Yes, early Christianity was a movement that eschewed ritual behaviors as a method of proving one’s “faith.” But some Christians have taken these passages too far. (Otherwise, as has already been pointed out on this thread, much of Jesus’ teachings would be pointless.)

So, to paraphrase: For by grace you are saved through your fidelity to the teachings… Not by rituals and practices, lest anyone should boast (about their attendance in church, how often they pray, etc.)

            1. I want to talk about what you were saying as a fake Democrat. You were hoping to demoralize Democrats with that stuff, weren’t you?

What made you choose single payer? Let’s start with that.

        1. You whiny, spineless prick. Just like any other bully, as soon as someone stands up to you, you cower behind the rules.

I’d say you were pitiful, but I have no pity for you.

      1. What is it that you’ve done that causes BuckJChestnut here to think that I’m you, or that you’re me?

You’ve always seems like such a sane and thoughtful voice of reason as well as a genuinely deep thinker.  (Although as a FPE editor you don’t promote everyone of Bucknutz’s musings to the front page — something he clearly and deeply personally resents.)

I, on the other hand am just your ordinary, run-of-the-mill, garden-variety prick.

Where does DavidNutcase see the resemblance?

        1. I enjoy your posts.  I thought it interesting that I came up as his secret nemisis.  I guess I scare him.

I’m trying to ignore him because he provokes me into saying stupid things I regret. This diary is good stuff however. A real chestnut.

    3. I know this is rough, but you’re a brave guy for showing up afterward. Good for you. Nonetheless, I must ask a few questions:

Take them in any order you like, naturally.

              1. Hate to disagree with jeffcoblue — a rare thing — but this person, bj/david whoever the hell, is NOT brave.  He is needy, incredibly needy.  And he’s been getting off ever since he’s been on here by getting all the really smart, educated, rational, articulate, mature writers to jump to his tune.  You all feed him like a mama bird feeds it’s babies.  And the more you feed him, the louder he yells.  Then he gets fed some more.

I’m glad you all find him amusing enough to keep feeding him.  To me, he’s boring as hell, and causes me to not read what a lot of you have to say ’cause I can’t wade through his shit.

                  1. I saw that happen in the Buck thread about separation of church and state.  But that doesn’t happen enough to make it worth while.  So, yeah, if it seems unlikely–it likely is!

Too many good subjects/issues/happenings just get bogged down with “he who shall not be named” poking, lying, MSUing and throwing bombs until the rational people become irrational and throw bombs back.

                    1. Pols will follow through on their penalty time threat/creation.

It’s actually not much different than during the 2008 campaign on this site. Only back then, there were a million comments from a million different people. This time it’s all one extremely self-loathing man. It’s a little depressing all around.

    1. Give up now, Beej

      We are ALL DavidChestnut86 / BJWilson83.83 / triguardian.

OK, belay that, Aaron was the first, the PR quote comes first in the reply chain but time stamps give the honor — such as it is — to Aaron.

  10. I wish I could be in one of his classes for a while. I’ll bet college students, right in front of him, would cause him much more embarrassment than he’s ever felt here.

And, his supervising prof? What will he have to say about this?
