Can somebody please fix your website? For the past several months pages load like everybody is sitting on a dial-up connection. It’s a little tough to link back to your website when it takes three hours to load a page.
Now that you’re the only newspaper in town, how about cleaning up them internet tubes, eh? It’s embarrassing.

But why should we fix it? The web site doesn’t generate revenue like the hard copy does. In fact the website is what’s hurting us.
There is the trouble with the Post’s website in a nutshell.
I get the hard copy every day as well as reading the online version, and I think the hard copy reads faster.
Not as much, maybe. Having a glacially slow website is like distributing a newspaper with hard-to-read newsprint.
the homegrown MediaNews Web CMS appears not to be nearly as nimble as the Ellington system used by Scripps – and soon the Camera in Boulder will be forced to adopt the MediaMews Web “solution”
of course, in the recent management layoffs at the Post, three of the six were from the interactive side.
apparently they’re really banking on the print version.
And didn’t blind faith work out great for G.W. Bush?
And you should get in much faster.
The Denver Post and several other newspapers have, one by one, started using something called ad yield manager. If you don’t have the latest flash or don’t use flash at all, it just hangs for several minutes.
I really hate this.
Doubleclick has been a problem for a long time too. Using a blocker really brings the Post load to a stop.
…to load is the GJ Daily Sentinel.
