Happy Friday to all you defenders of The Coward Michael Bennet.
If he truly stood up for the Middle Class and Union Workers, rather than just mouthing the empty words, he could explain the lies of Donald Trump to his fellow Coloradans:
I can assure you all that Dear Michael did not sign up for any of that.
Zappy, I know there is no hope that you will get a life, but would you at least try to grow a brain? As it is, you are making Powerful Pear only the second stupidest poster on this blog. He hates that!
The Zappster is the far left equivalent of Rush Limbaugh on the far right.
I'm actually trying to hold my side accountable and I almost never lie. Rush is the exact opposite. Your perceptions are quite revealing.
So now, Republicans are preparing to cut Social Security immediately next year. This fits the boilerplate, Republican language on Bennet's site.
If you guys think Bennet gives a rat's ass about Social Security (no tweets) and that a guy who went to Wesleyan, just like his daddy and granddaddy, has empathy for the common man, then he'll surely vote and work and speak out against this:
I'm of the opinion that Bennet will "sadly, but knowing this must be done for the fiscal security of the nation" be done to "save" Social Security (by killing it, a lá our old pal Udall), while condemning many of the seniors dependent on its meager stipend to a slow, painful death as well. OH, and it's also good for Mikey's big-time banker and money-changer friends.
How conveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeenient.
And everyone around here will nod solemnly in agreement.
I'm trying to decide if your continual rants fall under melodrama, or stand-up comedy. Probably a combination of both.
I think you know a handful of us here who will not, Zap. You are right to keep us informed here and it is much appreciated. V. and CHB like to call themselves "conservative"..
The problem they have is they cannot find a way to unravel the simple truth in the above quote from J.K.Galbraith.
Both men(?) seem to be gentlemen and probably very forthright and dependable family men, honorable and true, but quite unable to avoid smugness.
Subsequently, unable or unwilling to actually answer the point of the information, they are reduced to ad hominem attacks (yes, my lovelies, it takes one to know one) and minimization of the speaker (that'd be you, buddy) to cover their inability to have a relevant response.
You are, in any case, a valued contributor to many of us. Please don't take the patronization by our resident "compassionate conservatives" personally.
You realize they are probably both Michael Bennets' sock puppets…right fellas?
Actually, duke, I'm moderate. You are probably the only one who doesn't dismiss Comrade Zappaterro as the Stalinist Twit he is.
My apologies, old friend. I would never confer the title of "conservative" on anyone who does not embrace it.
Better , I think, a “Leninist” (he’s not a Stalinist, V.) twit than a “Putinist” or “Trumpist” twit. Don’t you think?
Lenin was much more subtle I. His tactics. Stalin, especially in his "third period" line, was simply a battering ram, as is zappy.
The perjorative "Stalinist" is going to take on a whole new meaning. Instead of "Papa Joe" Stalin, We now have "Papa Putin" as our President-elect's ally against who? China? Ukraine? Syrian rebels against Assad? Democratic voters in the US?
So, yeah, you need to find something new to call Zappy. For myself, I haven't found anything untruthful in the stories and links Zap posts, although the constant harping on Bennet does get tiresome.
If you want to call people Commies, start with our trolls: AC, PP, Modster. They're all apologists for the Putin/ Trump presidency. And yes, I know that Russia isn't "technically" Communist anymore – it just kept the brutal suppression of dissent, the state-owned industries, the rigged elections, and the imperialist ambitions from the bad old days.
Coming soon to a country near you.
It's precisely the looney obsession withBennet that makes zappy a stalinist whack job. Who knows the substance of his posts? He screws up everything by blaming it on bennet, while muttering about his "precious" It's just not fair. Powerless pair works so hard to be the stupidest person on this blog. And zappy steals the honor by effortlessly blaming bennet for every human ill including male pattern baldness.
Well, if he didn't have here to post, then he'd just be out on a street corner or median screaming out his theories (being generous here) at passing motorists.
Pols is preventing a public menace.
That's just mean.
I was curious enough to look it up. Bennet opposes privatization of Social Security, although he does make those noises about keeping it solvent. My understanding is that keeping SS solvent is a relatively simple rules fix – eliminating the payroll tax cap, thus higher income earners would pay more into the trust fund.
Bennet is cagey about most of his controversial positions – Votesmart shows him as avoiding taking a stance. But he's a pretty definite No vote on privatizing social security.
Because the press will be attacked for doing its job, and Democrats refuse to do theirs, we have to rely on a comedian to point out how President Elect Donald Hussein Trump regularly lies:
<
Johnston's proto-campaign begins.
Michael Johnston, architect of Colorado’s teacher evaluation system, considering bid for governor
Color me cynical, but the Koch Brothers concerns over the Republican tax plan as being detrimental to American consumers looks like a diversion. There is one sentence in the article that's worth noting:
We're about to witness the ultimate hat trick: 1) the KeystoneXL will come to life, 2) the fossil fuel industry gets a global salesman, the CEO of the world's largest oil company masquerading as our Secretary of State, 3) any division of EPA remotely connected to fossil-fuel pollution will be shuttered.
The Republican plan does have its salient points. For example, the adjustment applied to imported clothing could shift that production back to the states, reinvigorating our domestic work force. Ditto for other opportunities. I'm just not convinced the Koch Bros give a rats behind about your average American.
Assume you mean "shuttered" not ""shuddered"
Surely Michael the grammar Zar didn't make a mistake!
At least he knows the difference between "your" and "you're", idiot.
Trump's cabinet picks are meant to be outrageous – people get numb from being outraged, and the press can't keep up.
Trump buddy Steve Bannon studied the Third Reich intensively…he knows all about keeping up mass rallies and a steady stream of propaganda and daily outrages, fake victimhood, fear of the Other, and the technique of the Big Lie – which is basically to keep repeating lies until people seem to absorb as true what is still absolute nonsense.
Substitute Obama for Bannon and I think you are on to something.
From this mornings LAT. (the paper you oft-quoted pre-election)
Stephen Bannon found inspiration in ancient thinkers, Ronald Reagan and Nazi propaganda.
