Bush to “Cut and Run” from Iraq.

President George W. Bush today flipped the biggest possible flop today when he agreed to negotiate a timetable for withdrawal from Iraq.

In the “with us – against us” dichotomy of the black and white neoconservative alternate reality,

Bush is now against us.

He supports the terrorists.

On the other hand,

maybe we’ve won ?

Maybe the war is over,

Iraqi is a stable democracy,

able to defend herself,

you get the idea.

Helping the Iraqi People Defeat the Terrorists and Build an Inclusive Democratic State

   * Victory in Iraq is Defined in Stages:

         — Short term, Iraq is making steady progress in fighting terrorists, meeting political milestones, building democratic institutions, and standing up security forces.

         — Medium term, Iraq is in the lead defeating terrorists and providing its own security, with a fully constitutional government in place, and on its way to achieving its economic potential.

         — Longer term, Iraq is peaceful, united, stable, and secure, well integrated into the international community, and a full partner in the global war on terrorism.

Maybe we’ve met the short term goals ?

Looks like the guy bush refers to as “a democrat elected official” is taking over as “w”‘s top “strategerist”. With “w” it’s nuances, like “horizon” instead of “timetable” and “return on success” instead of “cut and run”. BUT…….the race is on. “w” needs to get out, he knows it, and the trick is to do what Obama advocates (and the Iraqi government) and make it look like it’s his “idear”.

If we can figure out a way to give Bush 4 more years,

I think he will fix that Iraq mess.

Or at least he will set things up so that he is able to fix it in a fourth term.

I know how we can get 4 more years of Bush-like governance.

Stop me if you’ve heard this:

      McCain = Bush.  McSame.

Or, as all 3 GOP candidates in the 5th CD race soberly intone,

      “stay the course.”
