Obama’s showing that he’s as two-faced as Bill Clinton, and they deserve each other.
Only the hard left thinks Clinton’s failure to endorse Obama would hurt Clinton more than it would hurt Obama.
Clinton may actually think, accurately, imo, that Obama would make a terrible president and would be a disaster for America and the world. If that’s what he thinks, he as a right to stand asside during the election and come back later.
His fans will forgive him. Obama’s don’t matter.
Look, Another Skeptic, this is what I meant to say. The argument is not that Clinton supposedly thinks Obama would be a bad president, it is that Clinton doesn’t think Obama can win and the loss would be catastrophic for the Dems…

he doesn’t need to kiss Bill’s ass. Her followers aren’t exactly in love with Bill and the role he played during the primaries. If they’re smart they’ll realize Bill, not Obama, is the guy they should be most angry with.
If Obama wins, ending HRC’s realistic presidential ambitions, one wonders if, after a seemly interval, there might not even be that divorce most women would have gotten a long time ago. HRC and Obama need each other now more than either needs Bill.

Pols version: Obama can “kiss my ass.”
“Tabloid” version: Obama will have to “kiss my ass” to get my support.
I have no trouble believing Clinton said what the Telegraph reported, in context. Bill’s miffed and acting like a wronged 3-year-old, so Obama’s going to have to make the approach. It’s still petulant and childish, but it’s a far cry from “he can kiss my ass.”
Remember, until six months ago, Bill Clinton was the undisputed success Democratic success story (at least among Democrats with selective memories), his peace and prosperity administration the best argument against the Republicans. Obama explicitly campaigned against a return to the Clinton years (he had to, because Hillary was the best answer if you framed the debate that way). Bill expected to campaign this year as a respected elder statesman and wound up talking to random groups of five West Virginians from the back of a pickup truck, steadily losing stature and alarming his fans.
Remember, too, Hillary’s swift endorsement of her chief rival is unprecedented in modern Democratic campaigns. After Bill Clinton sewed up the nomination in March of 1992, Paul Tsongas waited until early July to endorse Clinton. In 2000, after Al Gore also secured the nomination in March, Bill Bradley waited until mid July to endorse him. Bill will come around, and he’ll be shouting at rednecks from the back of pickup trucks through the summer and fall, but he’s going to throw a tantrum on his schedule.
A lot of Democrats hope you’re right about the ultimate outcome, but this kind of behavior is not something you would have seen from Paul Tsongas. And Tsongas was never President.

The British tabloids are well-known for such nonsense, and Americans only report it because they don’t understand the reputations the way the British do (although we have the New York Post, which is our closest comparable paper). People in the British press have been announcing that we’re a week away from war with Iran…for the past two years.
In Romania, where my wife’s parents live, the big story for a while was how “everybody knew” Clinton was going to win, and the fix was already in. When Clinton looked like she was going to lose, they said Obama was only being put forth because he was going to lose.
They also said Clinton had a plan that, if she lost the election, she was going to tour Europe with her lesbian lover. The latest news is that Obama is having an affair with Scarlett Johanssen (due to this silly email story, which has gotten a lot of play there, including on CNN International).
So yeah, this story is complete bullshit. Obama will have to “kiss his ass” to get support, at the same time as Bill donated the maximum amount to the Obama campaign? Yeah, bullshit.
I don’t know whether its true or not, but it wouldn’t be out of character.
Without Bill, Hillary would have a decent chance of being on the ticket. Obama wants no drama–that means no Bill.
Bill is speeding himself into irrelevance. Sad for a decent president and decent former president. If he grew up, he would be relevant for the next 15 years–instead…who knows.
Obama and HRC looked great together Friday and they both have star power. I was never an HRC fan, never wanted her in the Veep spot but I could easily accept the Hillary I saw Friday as VP if Obama judged her to be a plus. I just don’t see how Obama could accept Bill along with Hill. It’s ironic if Bill is pushing for her to be on the ticket when he is the one who makes her an impossible, unworkable choice.
He’s whored around on her for god knows how long. He’s lied to her over and over again. He’s recently poisoned her presidential campaign. And now he’s ruining any chance she has to be VP.
I think he really hates her deep deep down.
Don’t know if it is because he hates her or if he would do anything to get close to the mantle of power he had before.
It is hard to let go of power and now that Bill realizes he ain’t goin’ down that road again, he’s pissed.
But he should really learn to keep his mouth from flapping so much.
On Monday Hillary announces she and Bill are getting a divorce.
On Tuesday Obama announces that Hillary is his VP.
On Friday Obama announces that he will use Bill’s great skills by sending him to the middle east to bring peace and to show how committed he is to the process, Bill will not be allowed to leave the middle east until all countries are at peace with each other.
