A supporter of Hank Eng has advised me that Mike Collins has withdrawn from the race for the Democratic nomination in Colorado’s CD-6, which includes Eng’s home in unincorporated Arapahoe County. Collins has reportedly thrown his support to follow Democrat Hank Eng.
Eng is a civic minded aerospace engineer with international business and international non-profit organization experience. He is offering a moderate Democratic party alternative in the heavily GOP leaning district.

As the old saying goes. Unfortunately, that’s pretty much what a Republican nominee has to be caught in bed with in order to lose in CD6.
But kudos to Eng for giving people like me a moderate alternative to cast our hopeless votes for!
A press release about the endorsement: http://www.hankeng.com/index.p…
he used to post here didn’t he? It’d be interesting to here from him with his take.
I hope not, but that’s what I seem to remember hearing.

I wanted to take a moment to put in a few kind words on Hank’s behalf from someone who is an ardent conservative and Republican.
I serve as the election chair and coordinator for the South Metro Firefighter’s Association and we have endorsed Hank (along with two other candidates – Rhonda Livingston and Dr. Laura Simon) for three vacating seats on the five member District Board. Over the course of the last year and a half, when we began our vetting process, Hank has shown himself be highly intelligent, embraces collaborative partnerships and believes in fiscal responsible governance. We chose him, along with the other two candidates, because we thought he would provide a moderate yet supportive voice on the Board that would help our department move forward after many years of tumult. I say all of this, because our membership, as is the case in much of Colorado, represents a diversity of backgrounds, opinions and ideologies. For you Democrats who do not know him, I’d encourage you to contact and meet with him to see for yourself what we have come to know about Hank. You can also contact me directly via e-mail (sestandridge@yahoo.com) if you have any questions about Hank or go to our election website for more info on our election (www.smfrelection.com). Also, as a shameless plug, if you live in our district, please consider voting for him and our other two candidates. Thank-you Steve Standridge
