Jose Silva, a neighborhood activist, sent out an announcement that he will be seeking the House District 5 seat which will be vacated when term limits takes out Rep. Joel Judd in 2010. The anouncement follows:
In these times we can no longer look back without strict evaluation of what we have contributed to society, the crisp clear blue skies of Colorado at sometime will call us to action and when this happens we will need to break from the pack and seek to perform for the greater good. This is why I announce to you that I will be seeking the House District 5 Seat in the upcoming coming election of 2010. I have longed valued the gift of being able to be a product of my community. Some people may have seen this has a curse, but I seen it has a blessing and joined the fight to better my neighborhood and great state.
So I ask for your continued support, has I have always valued those that have come before me and laid the path that made it possible for a kid from the Yellow Projects of West Denver to be able to have a chance to serve Colorado has a State Rep,for the community which I was raised in.
Thank you and may you have a blessed New Year!!!!!
