Colorado Pols in the News...Sort Of

  • by: Colorado Pols

From the Rocky Mountain News:

Keep on writin’: A blogger on ColoradoPols with the facetious name of “Lamborn has godlike qualities” regularly turned out ditties on the matchup between state Sen. Doug Lamborn and retired Air Force Lt. Col. Jay Fawcett. Among the gems:

The 1970s were a tumultuous time for America. Doug Lamborn was here in the USA working to make the country a better place. His opponent actually left the country during this time, soaking off the taxpayers by eating government meals and sleeping in government-paid facilities.”

With all due respect to the Rocky Mountain News, ‘Lamborn Has Godlike Qualities’ has produced better ditties than that. Take a look for yourself.

  1. I won’t take any credit for the Lamborn win. Anyone with a functional cerebral cortex could recognize that Lamborn is just a little better than the rest of us.

In fact, I’m no political history buff, but I believe 2007 will bring a couple of firsts in the US House of Representatives. Presuming there is justice in this world, it will be the first time the Speaker of the House is from the minority party and also the first time a Coloradan will have the post.

It seems pretty obvious that once our representatives get to know the “real” Douglas Lamborn, he will be voted Speaker–on his way to much bigger and better things.

    Viva Lamborn!

    1. Your posts the past few months have made me laugh so hard. Take solace in the fact that now that he is elected he will at least keep giving you good material.

  2. She’s the new Colorado power player in Congress, and I can just see her getting Denver some port security dollars for the Platte River Valley.
