There’s still Roy Blunt, however.
The GOP needs a strong primary contender for 2008, but if there are only 2 candidates next time, Musgrave probably is safe.
Musgrave was so closely joined at the hip with Tom Delay, that with Pelosi and friends digging into Delay’s connections with various Congressmen, more unsavory news is a real possible outcome for Musgrave. Exit polls I read said that ETHICS was more important in this cycle than the war in Iraq. She seems to progressively slide down from one term to the next to where in 2008, she’ll finally get knocked off by the Dems. So, what happens if Schaffer makes a run in the primary to get his old seat back? Would the Rs in the 4th choose him in a primary?
would Bob primary Musgrave
Who do you think might?
Who do you think will win if they do?
possibly jeff crank again or even mcelhany (huge mistake on his part if he does), in the end i think time will bring alot of perspective on the primary race and those that are contemplating a rematch will decide not to do it..perhaps that is wishful thinking on my part though
that lamborn will win a primary handily from here on out
With such a large pull, was Paccione done in by Eidness’s strong showing? A few votes to Eidness would almost certainly taken from the “can’t vote Democratic, don’t want to vote for Musgrave” camp, but with 11%, Paccione almost certainly lost this race to the strong performance of Eidness, IMHO.
The 4th seems to be a district crying out for Instant Runoff Voting.
The hearings that were never held that should have been into Tom Delay’s dealings with Jack Abramoff will surely be forthcoming now. Tom Delay insinuated his way deeply into many Republican’s camps, of which Musgrave’s was certainly one. Let the evidence lead where it will and if Musgrave had any dealings with Delay that warrant disclosure and the voters sanctioning Musgrave in 2 years, more power to Pelosi.
I just hope that we aren’t tradying one set of scoundrels for another. Time will tell. We’re all human, fallible, and subject to the temptations of power.

I realized that as soon as I posted.
give a confusing graphic. It makes it look like the entire county is in the 4th.
