I could see you advancing a serious argument that you were correct about Beauprez not running.
On a more serious note, this was right after Beauprez had gotten his post on Ways & Means, which we figured meant that he wasn’t going anywhere.
or even a sort of rich former banker, the last place I wouldn’t go anywhere would be D.C. Humid, crowded, and the last place you would want to be if you were even a semi-principled conservative. I’ve wondered a bit if that wasn’t part of the equation.
