Republican Poll: Beauprez, O'Donnell Down

  • by: Colorado Pols

A recently completed Republican benchmark poll shows Bob Beauprez trailing Democrat Bill Ritter in the race for governor by 14 points. Republican Rick O’Donnell trails Democrat Ed Perlmutter in CD-7 by single digits, but outside the margin of error.

  1. that BWB is exactly where he should be, or at least where they expected him to be, right around now.  What percentage of absentee ballots have already been returned?

    1. John Marshall: “Now that we’re trailing 18-points in the polls and are under FBI investigation, we’ve got Ritter right where we want him!”

      1. Aravda is very conservative and active.  For the metro area, Arvada is to the Repubs what Denver is to the Dems. In a statewide race, the  repubs have to be BIG in the suburbs and particularly  Arvada – which will help ODonnell….who looks and sounds like a Catholic Democrat of old….green and white….altar boy face…..no party ID on his ads….

  2. The Beauprez campaign has been handing Bill Ritters campaign material practically on a platter for several months. Ritter has made inroads with many constituencies, while Bob Beauprez has struggled to do much beyond say “I’m Bob Beauprez and I’m for values.”  While the fact that Beauprez has shot himself in the foot on numerous occasions, up until the incident with the database I’m not sure that was enough (itself) to finish him off. Nevertheless, combined with Beauprez’s failure to connect with people, it’s over.  Now Beauprez is taking out loans because no one will fund his campaign, while Ritter is continuing to be successful with his fundraising efforts.
