    1. Yeah, but it is furniture care week. And I also see the Republicans brave and principled stand against vaccination is starting to buckle a la Bama finger pointing. The backpedaling will be fun to watch.

    1. Or they could add millions of tons of pollutants to the atmosphere and attack the ozone layer so to give a super rich clown a ten-minute thrill.

Marie Antoinette was Mother Teresa in comparison to these buffoons.

Where is Robespierre when you need him?

      1. The Wrights were pioneers.  Are you seriously suggesting that Musk and Bezos are exploring new ground for anything but conspicuous consumption?

Read up on John Glenn and Yuri Gagarin.

In fairness, Bezos used liquid oxygen and hydrogen as fuels, which do not emit carbon dioxide,

Other private companies — SpaceX, controlled by billionaire Elon Musk, and Virgin Galactic, which took owner Richard Branson into space a week before Bezos — use conventional fuels, and do release carbon dioxide, about 330 metric tons per ego trip.

But Bezos, like his fellow space vandals, did release nitrogen oxides and destroy ozone in his re-entry — that flaming heat shield thing.

Plus, it takes a lot of energy to collect so much liquid hydrogen and LOX. Again, Bezos pollutes big time.

Thorstein Veblen nailed these bastards. The joy of their mega-vandalism stems from the fact that ordinary millionaires can’t afford waste on such a scale.

        1. V – this is a good read:

Jeff Bezos Is Not My Astronaut

Astronaut” used to connote something noble, something that cemented the best of what it meant to be American: Men and women of exceptional capabilities and unremarkable origins. Armstrong was the second person in his family to attend college, and his father was a state government bureaucrat. John Glenn’s parents were a plumber and a teacher. Sally Ride, the first American woman in space, was a PhD physicist; her father was a community college professor, and her mother volunteered as a prison counselor. Former NASA Chief Astronaut Peggy Whitson, a PhD biochemist who spent more time in space than any other American (665 days), grew up on a farm in Iowa. (Kudos to the FAA, which, just before Bezos took off, issued a new policy requiring that a space crew member actually contribute to the mission before receiving astronaut “wings.”)

In the Prime Space future, we won’t have astronauts, we’ll have egonauts.

  1. I got an email from The Mesa County Democrats saying Pew Pew is bringing Congressasshole Jim Jordan to GJ for a show and tell.

    Anybody going?

    Tomorrow at 5 ish.

    1. Shame, shame. You misspelled the Congressman's name. It's "Gym" (without the quotes).

Is Glenwood Canyon open for travel this weekend?

  2. "But it’s time to start blaming the unvaccinated folks, not the regular folks. It’s the unvaccinated folks that are letting us down.”  Governor Ivey, Alabama, where less than 40% of the residents are vaccinated.

I would propose 60% of a population is the regular folk, and the 40% are the minority.

Looking at you Mesa County, CO where the numbers are about the same.
