2. Northeastern Colorado has been embarrassed by Richard “Buckwheat dick” Holtorf long enough.  It’s time to act.  

   I propose an IQ sharing program.  I will donate one IQ point if Mike Bowman will match it.  Neither of us will miss one point since we fall into the 100 plus range standard for rural Democrats.

   However, two more IQ points will triple Buckwheat dick’s total and bring him to the three point measurement shared by most legislative Republicans.  Thus bolstered, he should fade into the background and mostly avoid news media attention.

   Of course, it will still be necessary to water Holtorf.  Notaskinnycook, who long handled that chore for Moddy, can water Buckwheat dick since she lives near his Denver apartment.

   We will probably need to repot him as well, since his old cranium can’t hold a tripling of his intelligence to three points.

   Kwtree, a former beetdigger, should be able to repot Holtorf.  

   How about it, Michael, Cookie and Kwtree?  Is it time to solve northeastern Colorado’s dilemma?

      1. Talk to kwtree, Cookie.  She knows sugar beets and they have about the same intelligence as Republican legislators — except the beets are a lot sweeter.

         1. Cookie has it right. When a sugar beet goes rotten, you have to bury it, or try to feed it to livestock. 
             

            But Holtorf is from Akron. He’s probably an Akron HS Ram, and doesn’t deserve the high honor of being a BeetDigger.

   3. Hey V! Just catching up here. Would be honored to lend a point, and could gather up a few more from the area. I know Phillips County has a handful of great Dems, too, we should let them in on the intervention!  I picked up some things in Venango last week and always think about you when I’m there!

      1. We don’t want more than our two, Mike. Buckwheat dick has one IQ point of his own and if we raise his total to three, he’ll be average for a Republican legislator.  I just want him to blend in with the crowd and not draw attention to himself.

         As to his new sobriquet of  “Buckwheat dick”, all I can say is wooden nickels were bad enough.  But this is riduculous!

   4 Years After an Execution, a Different Man’s DNA Is Found on the Murder Weapon

   Mr. Lee’s execution, on April 20, 2017, was the first in Arkansas in more than a decade. Some accused the state of rushing Mr. Lee and several other prisoners to their deaths that month before the expiration of its supply of a lethal injection drug.

   At a news conference on Tuesday, Gov. Asa Hutchinson defended Mr. Lee’s execution. “It’s my duty to carry out the law,” he said, adding that “the fact is that the jury found him guilty based upon the information that they had.” He called the new DNA evidence that has emerged “inconclusive.”

   According to the Innocence Project, no physical evidence was ever produced that connected Mr. Lee to Ms. Reese’s murder. In a summary of the case, the group also outlined obstacles that Mr. Lee had faced over the years, including a lawyer who was drunk and unprepared at court hearings, unreliable neighborhood eyewitnesses and conflicts of interest for key players.

   Mr. Lee’s first trial resulted in a hung jury. His second murder trial began on Oct. 10, 1995, just seven days after O.J. Simpson had been acquitted of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.

   Along with providing new DNA results, Ms. Young’s petition pushed the city of Jacksonville to compare fingerprints from the crime scene to a state and national fingerprint database for the first time. It has long been established that Mr. Lee’s fingerprints did not match any of those at the scene.
