Biden’s speech.
Yahoo roundup of Republican sentiments about it led with the photo & caption “Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) during U.S. President Joe Biden’s address to a joint session of Congress in the U.S. Capitol on April 28, 2021.” The picture shows her staring at her phone. Other sources also had frequent mention of her steady stream of tweets.
Cameras caught Sen. Ted Cruz dozing off while Biden addressed immigration reform. His statement after: “boring, but radical.” That might win for political oxymoron of the month.
The Republican Party has nothing – nothing. No platform (literally), no policies, no ideas, no imagination. They're the party of "no" and of "nothing." I can't help but think that more and more folks in the middle (not tied to one party or the other) will see this and will come to appreciate the work that the Biden administration is doing. Republicans whine, Democrats act.
