Boyles has "no intention to back away from this story"

(Of course not, what would he talk about? – promoted by Colorado Pols)

Colorado is blessed to have a national leader of the birther movement, which is digesting today’s surprise release of Obama’s birth certificate.

That leader would be KHOW talk show host Peter Boyles.

So his response is probably an indicator of where these birther folks will go now.

On his radio show about 15 minutes ago, Boyles said, “I have no intention to back away from this story….I still have made a list of about 20 other things….” (marriage license, divorce records, education documents)

He said this was Obama’s “Nixon moment,” when only a portion of the tapes was released.

So Boyles apparently smells meat: “All this does is feed the lion,” he said.

“Why does he wait so long?…Is this an attempt to shut up the questioners? I think so.”

Boyles compared the feeling in his gut to the feeling he had when John Mark Karr was arrested for the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey.

Karr of course was released.

“It’s not over,” Boyles says, and you can imagine him shaking his head.

And if you listen to Boyles’ show, you know he’s right. That’s the beauty of a conspiracy theory.

  1. as amended by Peter Boyles:

No Person except a natural born Citizen having released every known or possible document, or a Citizen of the United States, sufficiently proven to Peter Boyles (or until such a time as Mr. Boyles has moved on to his next lunacy), at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and who shall have released every known or possible document to Mr. Boyles or any other nut with a microphone, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

  2. that John Mark Karr was not born in the US?

The beauty of the Boyles approach is that he’s “only asking questions”.  He has no conclusions.

So now the birth certificate confirms the certification of live birth document.  But what about his pasport? What about his grandmother? What about his aunt?  What about those Mexican truck drivers who don’t speak English and are driving unsafe trucks?  What about the Ramseys? What about Roswell? What aobut…about….about.

I propose that Donald Trump has never paid taxes int he US.  He’s never released his tax returns. What is he hiding?  Further, I propose that Trump was never actually bankrupt. That his claim that he was bankrupt is just part of his marketing shtick to bolster his rags to riches to rags to riches bs.

I propose that Boyles was divorced because of some terrible thing he did with or to his cat.  ANd while his ex-wife has remained silent, Boyles sealed his divorce records – what is he hiding?

Where was Rand Paul born?  Did you ever see his birth certificate?  DId Trump ever find his?  How did trump get into Wharton? Was he such an outstanding student in hs and undergrad – or was he a legacy? DId poppa trump donate some grease?  Where was Tim Pawlenty born? Why were none of his grandparents ever mentioned in his bio? Coud it be, like a failed Senate candidate from northern Colorado, one of his parents was the anchor baby that got him his US opportunity?  ANd on and on and on

As long as we never ask about the guy behind the curtain. or the Koch family. Or the invisible tax breaks and incentives to the rich Colorado tax payers. Or the death of TABOR or any of a thousand other things that are wayy less important.

  3. And remember, the hospital souvenir birh certificates, not the official ones filed with state or county government, are the ones that often have the cute footprints but no legal standing.

I loved it when I heard one of the birthers say maybe Obama was hiding his long form because it would prove he was a Muslim.  Just how would any birth certificate prove that?  Mine isn’t stamped “Jew” and even if it was, what the heck does a newborn know about religions?

Boyles is just a low rent Limbaugh and both just view their listeners as saps who  keep their careers alive.

  4. Back in the late ’80’s, I started listening to Boyles, in part because he often times referenced his days in the Airborne.

Can’t remember if he said 82nd or 101st, but I distinctly remember him placing himself in the service as a young man.

Then in about 2004 Senator Salazar sponsored and the Senate and House voted through the Stolen Valor Act.

A lot of conservative talk tough guys stopped talking about their alleged service days, Boyles included.

He scrubbed his khow bio, now it says nothing about a service commitment.

This birther thing’s as valid as any of his other claims, and all that entails.

  5. who believe that this will prove to be a positive move by the president, and Boyles’ reaction is already good proof of that. The certificate release should assuage the doubts any unaffiliated* voters might have had, and if birthers just dig in and keep up with this stuff (how, Mr. Boyles, are marriage records relevant to holding the office of POTUS?), they’ll just marginalize themselves even further. One commenter on another blog said Obama gave them enough rope to hang themselves, and this just jerked the noose tight.

SLOG has a nice rundown of how exactly this will keep the birthers dissatisfied – they check out some of the comments at Free Republic and naturally found some doozies, like this one:

The Key is the wording at the bottom.

Nordyke one says “true and CORRECT copy”.

Obama one says “true copy or ABSTRACT”.

    Abstract in Merriam/Webster dictionary says:

    1c – insufficiently factual

2 – expressing a quality apart from the original

4 – having only intrinsic form with little or no attempt at pictorial representation or narrative content.

  6. Over the years he’s worked very hard to move the bar ever higher on what it means to be a fucking idiot.

The only reason any person with functioning synapses would ever want to listen to him again is to answer the question, “can he push it up any further?”

Give him a blackboard and some chalk — FOX needs to find a Beck replacement.

  7. the problem with boyles is he claims to have the #1 rated radio show in prime drive time in Denver. So I have a question for Jason Salzman:  Is this true?

Far more serious to me are the caplis/silverman clowns because they are lawyers.  At one time, the American Bar Association talked about setting up ethical guidelines for lawyers on talk radio and then decided not to do it.

yesterday, caplis and silverman completely ignored the certification of live birth that Obama had released three years ago….caplis said “we know that Obama has something to hide.”  The hell we do.

I know that Jason thinks that C&S has the best talk show in town…but I would appreciate some fact checking on these two jokers by someone…..what would you do if you were sitting on a jury panel and in walked one of them?…
