  1. He is still gone.

Great God Almighty, the tyrant clown is gone!

A national program of stink reduction is under way and in 49 states, Americans can breathe easily again.

    With a mask, of course.

    He's gone.

    Gloat

    Gloat

    Gloat like a goat!

    The tyrant clown is gone.

Never again to pull America's finger!

      1. Robert Gieswein was arrested and charged, so yeah. Btw, Lauren claimed she “doesn’t know those people” ( the 3% militia she was photographed with in front of the Colorado Capitol in December 2019. One is her campaign manager, Sheronna Bishop.

  2. President Biden cleaning house of Trumpers at Voice of America, FCC and NLRB on Day 1 along with countless executive orders to fight Covid 19 and begin the huge task of restoring sanity to the way we do business.  Can't wait to see what he does on Day 2.

  3. Discredited Gun Researcher Out at Justice Department

John Lott, who pushes the theory that “more guns = less crime,” was hired in October to advise on crime data.

Lott’s hiring “generated more opposition than almost any other Trump appointment,”

  4. Your joke for today –
One sunny day in January 2021, an old man approached the White House from across Pennsylvania Avenue, where he'd been sitting on a park bench. He spoke to the U.S. Marine standing guard and said, "I would like to go in and meet with President Trump."

The Marine looked at the man and said, "Sir, Mr. Trump is no longer President and no longer resides here." The old man said, "Okay", and walked away.

The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, "I would like to go in and meet with President Trump."

The Marine repeated, "Sir, as I told you yesterday, Mr. Trump is no longer President and no longer resides here." The man thanked him and, again, just walked away.

The third day, the old man approached the White House and spoke to the very same U.S. Marine, saying again, "I would like to go in and meet with President Trump."

The Marine, understandably irritated at this point, looked at the man and said, "Sir, this is the third day in a row you've been here asking to speak to Trump. I've told you each time that he's no longer the President and no longer resides here. Don't you get it?"

The old man looked at the Marine and said, "Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it."

The Marine snapped to attention and said,
    “See you tomorrow, Sir.

  5. There's only 2 U.S. Court of Appeals and some 44 U.S. District Court vacancies at the moment. However, there's something like 38 court of appeals judges appointed by Democrats who are eligible for senior status. Becoming a senior judge means full salary, less work, ability to pick and choose cases, and most important for present purposes, a vacancy for POTUS to fill.

The courts of appeals are where the rubber truly meets the road in the federal judiciary. Let's see if Biden can outdistance Diaper Don, who with the aid of a friendly Senate managed to seat an astonishing 54 court of appeals judges in one goddamn term.

  6. The Senate Filibuster Is Another Monument to White Supremacy

After a week of trying to get a majority-supported, House passed, Southern Senator-filibustered anti-lynching bill passed in the Senate, Lodge realized that he had only two options: abandon the rest of his legislative priorities or scuttle the anti-lynching bill.

    He scuttled the bill.

Over the next few decades, Congress would consider nearly 200 anti-lynching measures. Thanks to the unique procedures of the Senate, and the unique enthusiasm with which they were exploited by Jim Crow’s supporters, not one became law.

     Give it up, Moscow Mitch.

  7. Bipartisan Senate gang to talk with Biden aide on coronavirus relief

It didn't take long for Hick to pal up w/Manchin just to make Manchin's gang of 7 make quota.

Look for them to cut Biden's request for COVID relief in half as a 'compromise'

w/some kind of added perk for oil & coal.

The GOP senators in the group are Susan Collins (Maine), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), Mitt Romney (Utah), Rob Portman (Ohio), Bill Cassidy (La.), Shelley Moore Capito (W.Va.), Jerry Moran (Kan.) and Todd Young (Ind.).

The Democrats are Sens. Joe Manchin (W.Va.), Mark Warner (Va.), Maggie Hassan (N.H.), Jeanne Shaheen (N.H.), Mark Kelly (Ariz.), John Hickenlooper (Colo.), Dick Durbin (Ill.) and Independent Sen. Angus King (Maine), who caucuses with Democrats.

Except King is not a D but he is a Mainer, like Collins.

  8. An acute case of amnesia has struck Senate Republicans.

There was no deficit spending before Jan. 20th, 2021.

There was no GOP controlled Congress or President that signed bills spending trillions offering little benefit to anyone but their billionaire patrons.

    1. My guess is their biggest objection is they just can’t wrap their little minds around the preposterous idea that a package of Covid relief should actually go for anything as patently outlandish as, you know, Covid relief? . . .

The Corrupt, the Clueless and Joe Biden

After the inauguration, Romney expressed opposition to a new economic relief package, declaring: “We just passed a $900 billion-plus package. Let’s give that some time to be able to influence the economy.”

Now, Romney has earned the presumption that, unlike other Republicans opposing relief, he’s honestly trying to do the right thing. But that’s an utterly clueless remark, indicating that he doesn’t understand what Biden’s proposed package is all about.

While coronavirus relief legislation is often called “stimulus,” that’s not what Biden is trying to do. The economy in 2021 isn’t like the economy in 2009, depressed because there isn’t enough demand; we haven’t fully recovered because we’re still on partial lockdown, with some activities curtailed by the risk of infection.

The goal of policy in this situation isn’t to pump up spending, getting people to eat out and travel. It is, instead, to help people, businesses and local governments get through the difficult period until widespread vaccination lets us go back to business as usual.
