There's only 2 U.S. Court of Appeals and some 44 U.S. District Court vacancies at the moment. However, there's something like 38 court of appeals judges appointed by Democrats who are eligible for senior status. Becoming a senior judge means full salary, less work, ability to pick and choose cases, and most important for present purposes, a vacancy for POTUS to fill.
The courts of appeals are where the rubber truly meets the road in the federal judiciary. Let's see if Biden can outdistance Diaper Don, who with the aid of a friendly Senate managed to seat an astonishing 54 court of appeals judges in one goddamn term.
