Biden’s Weak Link On Energy And Ethics Is An Ex-Obama Official With Deep Fossil Fuel Ties
Ken Salazar’s “lucrative spin through the revolving door” is reminiscent of the pay-to-play system that has grown under President Donald Trump.

The Trump campaign appreciates your support.
I'm confused…
Is Biden the Fossilonian that this story depicts? Or is he the tree hugger who will outlaw fracking and put half of the population of Pennsylvania out of work as the Trump campaign says?
Wait, maybe he is a little bit of both but not too much of either.
Come on, CHB. Are you against transparency about Salazar’s ties to Big Oil? His lack of oversight contributed to the Deepwater Horizon disaster. He’s overseen thousands of energy leases in Utah and elsewhere. Criticism of potential ethics conflicts in a Biden administration does not mean a vote for Trump.
Environmentalists won’t vote Republican this year, and they’re (mostly) not going to sit it out or vote 3rd party, either. Biden should be on notice that he won’t get a free pass on this. I hope Hickenlooper is paying attention.
Read the playbook, flightless bird. First, we win the election. Then everyone who ever worked for an energy company is hauled off to the Gulag.
The sequencing is important!
@kwtree: you’re reminding me about the classic “re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.”
The ship of America is sinking under Trump’s “leadership.” Get a new captain to save the ship and worry about Deepwater Horizon and some politician’s history later.
“Environmentalists won’t vote Republican this year…..” Well, that statement is a no-brainer. I’ve been active in the environmental movement pushing 50 years; in more than one state; and I don’t ever recall any large number of enviros voting R.
Exactly. That’s why it doesn’t depress the vote for the Democrat to write or post newspaper articles critical of his (possible) cabinet picks.
I wonder what you would say if you knew AOC was rumored to be in charge of implementing Green New Deal goals, or Elizabeth Warren in charge of an economic plan in the new administration.
I think we know how much you are (not) a Bernie fan. Yet Biden is consulting with Bernie about various policies.
If you criticized those picks, could we justify calling you a Trumper?
What say you, barnes ? Does your posting that Huffpost article lay bare your secret Trump support?
As VG said, first you win the election.
Regarding the Green New Deal, the climate part of it is fine. The massive jobs creation program is not. The federal government already has over 80 different job creation programs (reference: research by staff of former senator, the late Tom Coburn, explained on a 60 Minutes show some years ago).
How many more job creation programs are needed? Maybe we need fewer?
As for me “criticizing picks thus making me a Trumper,” sounds to me that you’re getting complacent and thinking that Biden has the win in the bag, so to speak. You didn’t like my warnings about Dem complacency in 2016. Turned out I was right.
So just to be clear: You prefer that no liberals ever voice any criticisms, or even provide information, about any Biden proposed cabinet member….until after the election. If they do, they’re either complacent or Trumpers. Does that sum up your views?
However, conservatives should feel free to voice any and all complaints about progressive elected officials and policies, because conservatives are wise and always correct. Right?
What “sums up my views” is real simple, and it’s not the words you try to put into my mouth:
WIN THE DAMN ELECTION. Worry about the other stuff later.
Considering the high priority Biden has given to the New Green Deal and the Great Structural Changes Warren has been pushing, I wouldn't waste my time pondering what happens if AOC and/or Warren are installed in a Biden administration. My guess: they would become very frustrated in a very short amount of time.
BTW, Great Flightless Bird, if you can get to 50 votes (since I expect and in fact, I hope, the filibuster is abolished) for all your pet legislation (MFA, free colleges and universities) in a Senate with the likes of Angus King, Bob Casey, Joe Manchin, Amy Klobuchar, Mark Warner, Tim Kaine, Mike Bennet, John Hickenlooper, Steve Bullock, Kirsten Sinema, and Dianne Feinstein, then you will have earned it.
How Jared Kushner’s Secret Testing Plan “Went Poof Into Thin Air”
There you go…… Who would have thought that you could a virus that only attacks people who voted for Hillary Clinton? Apparently Jared Kushner did.
False equivalence tripe: Herman wasn’t destroyed by “American Politics”, he was destroyed by Republican hate-and-ignorance-driven politics, and by his own misogynistic inclination towards sexual harassment.
I’ll see you one idiot POTUS and raise you two Nevilles.
The Tragedy of Herman Cain
One detail … Cain was co-chair of the national group "Blacks for Trump." He was among a group that went to the (poorly attended) Tulsa rally … but was not speaking, not on stage, not called out and recognized in the *resident's remarks, and did not meet Trump while there.
Trump DID tweet about him after learning about his death.
Ninety five days 'til we vote out Trump
and his stinking crooked reign.
Live this day in a loving way
Then ninety four days will end the pain.
