"A Huge Wall Street Scandal Just Exploded In Kentucky

GOP law enforcement officials are targeting Stephen Schwarzman, the billionaire who bankrolls Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump’s political machine. The lawsuit breaks open a major financial scandal that threatens the world’s largest private equity firms — with global implications."

trying an end run around Posse Comitatus …

I keep waffling back and forth and to a third position.  This is

       * a purely image building exercise (gotta get recent riot footage for the ads SOMEHOW) to show that Trump and friends really, really are tough.

       * a sincere effort to demonstrate fealty and win points with the Trump insiders.

       * an actual effort to combat violence in Democratic cities.

Whatever it is, it allows a solid reaction and development of tactics against their move.  ACLU now has updated their legal arguments; Moms have bought yellow shirts and bicycle helmets; Dads found their orange shirts and leaf blowers; there is a whole new group of people who have signed on to "protect the election."

Who knew that southern segregationists advocating for state’s rights could be giving civil libertarians legal grounds today?

If you can stomach Kayleigh McEnancy justifying Trump’s Army Men, here is a link to today’s press conference.

Note: she doesn’t show up at the podium until 1/2 hour into the video.

The National defense authorization bill passed the senate, 86 to 14, yesterday . The 14 include an eclectic group including Rand Paul and Bernie Sanders, Mike Lee and Elizabeth Warren. Go far enough to the right and far enough to the left and the two meet up.
