2. We seem to have a slow start to the day. 

   After last night's debate & associated commentary, anyone want to speculate on Mike Bloomberg's future?  Will he top Jeb!'s performance futility, spending more than $53 million per delegate?  Will he be the most successful NY mayor running for President since 1900, getting more than 3 delegates?

   1. Bloomberg prediction: 
       Aug 1, 2020 his net worth will be larger than it is today. And his delegate count will have returned to zero.

3. WOTD from Politico "Why Only a Woman Can Win a Debate Against Trump"

   I never quote from Politico, which I view as a Republican version of Talking Points Memo, but…

   Here is an interesting article about why a male candidate can't "out-trump" trump, and why a woman is less vulnerable to him in the debates. 

   As Hillary Clinton’s sparring partner in her 2016 general election debate prep, I was part of the team that helped get her ready for both the predictable and the unthinkable. And despite what happened on election night, to most of America there was no question she won those debates. 

   So when a Democrat says the party needs someone who can out-Donald Donald in 2020, I stop listening. We already have a Donald. And to give credit where credit is due, he nails the part. Beating Trump does not require becoming Trump. If it did, we could go ahead and swear Alec Baldwin in as the 46th president of the United States.
