  1. "Not everybody is comfortable with the idea that politics is a guilty addiction. But it is. They are addicts, & they are guilty & they do lie & cheat & steal—like all junkies. And when they get in a frenzy, they will sacrifice anything & anybody to feed their cruel & stupid habit." — Hunter S. Thompson

  2. Wow. Really wish that Lawrence O’Donnell had waited to get confirmation, evidence, or another source on his “Russian Co-signers” story.

Now, it’s only going to feed the the “liberal media is out to get Trump” narrative.

Legal experts – if Trump does sue for defamation, is there a discovery process that could reveal all?

    1. I'm not a lawyer. I don't know any lawyers.
But yes- according to wikipedia the defense for defamation is it was true and it wasn't publicized only for the wrong reason.
MSNBC/Odonnell would be trying to prove the former, a plaintiff would be trying to prove the latter.

      1. This smells a little like a set-up but maybe LOD really did make a sloppy mistake. I'll file this under the category of there are lots of knives being sharpened. Have you been following the Twitter page of Noel Casler?  An old CA guy that has decided to defy his NDA and start talking.  So far the Drumpf team hasn't come after him for what is assumed to be the very reason you mentioned: they don't want a lawsuit and discovery process so they've decided to weather the storm for now.

    2. As a public figure, Trump would have to prove actual malice and\or reckless disregard of the truth.  But as MJ noted, the defense would be entitled to wide-ranging discovery.  It will never happen, for that very reason.
