    1. I am sure the 27 jobs it brings will change Mesa County forever.

This is about exerting states rights and decentralizing govt. to diminish federal influence. Little more.

        1. The boosters are trying already to see how many more BLM jobs can be grown with the HQ. They'll still bitch about gummint, though. It's the Western way.

          1. Perhaps the Peter Principle will shower down upon PoddyMouth and he can fall upwards into one of these new BLM gigs. He’s surely done raking the forests on this side of the Divide by now.

      1. The Post says it is will be 85 jobs. I thought they would move it to Lakewood, to the Federal Center so it could be close to all the other Federal buildings, but I guess that would have made too much sense.

      2. Ding, ding, ding. . . .

. . . this move has nothing to do with giving western GOPers more voice, or Mesa patriots more doled employment.

It does have everything to do, however, with moving the BLM out of the halls of power in DC, and away from the eyes of all those pesky reporters, and the view of the average citizens of insufficient net worth.

  1. Secretary of State Jena Griswold has formed an exploratory committee to run for the US Senate. Per Colorado Politics, Marshall Zelinger on Twitter, etc.

Goddamit. On Griswold’s FB pages are dozens of supporters and former campaign volunteers, (me included) all saying, “Jena, don’t do it,! Finish the job you were elected to do!”

We have a big election coming up with Russian interference unchecked by any oversight. We have Sullivan trying to limit the havoc recall elections can cause. And you want to jump into a field of 6 women and 4 men why exactly?

Stay in the job you have for at least one more year.
