Commenting Note

  • by: Colorado Pols

We’ve had a few comments and e-mails from people over the last couple of weeks whose comments haven’t posted immediately to Colorado Pols. We have a spam filter that autmatically blocks comment spam, for things like porn sites or Viagra ads, and legitimate comments get caught in that automatic net once in awhile. We usually go in and clean out the comment spam list at least once a day, and if there is a legitimate comment in there, we un-spamify it.

If you are having repeated problems getting a comment to post immediately, please e-mail us at webmaster@coloradopols.com and we’ll take a look, but rest assured that we’re not sitting around validating every comment as it comes in; that would be silly, and it would take a lot of time and effort.

We have never sifted?through comments?to approve or disapprove each one. The only thing we restrict is the same thing we have always restricted: Vulgar/obscene comments or unsubstantiated random rumors (“Joe Smith had an affair with his secretary”). Other than that,?the comments sections are all yours.?

  1. Attn: Webmaster[s]. For what it’s worth, thanks for all the efforts to keep this site up and running. It’s invaluable!
Kinda reminds me of what CB radios used to do back in the 70’s, but for the modern age!

  2. The back and forth on this site is great. Beats the paper for a fun read. Keep up the effort to maintain your site.
    Thanks,
