Sheriff Candidate from Douglas County: someone Anderson
it should be noted that rivera has already been certified by the secretary of state and is on the ballot. see today’s gazette…
Botero 6th CD dropped out and is stuck in DC needing airfare (no joke).
Marc is short–again…
Anyone know if Holtzman turned his signatures in?
Does anybody know if Margaret Atencio turned in enough signatures to get on the ballot for the HD1 house seat?
I haven’t heard from Margaret yet. Has anyone heard about Romer?
According to Channels 4 and 7, Holtzman did.

Why is Juan Botero even on this list?
When I checked his candidacy with fec.gov back in early April, he wasn’t even listed.
His name is there now, along with zero committee contributions and zero individual contributions.
His website (a single page, no links, no news) has nothing new since his “big” announcement back in February.
Hey BMR, you are back, it’s good to see you again. We’ve been speculating on the mysterious disappearance of several posters, but I see you are alive and well. Did you attend the Assembly and if so, what was your take?
Unfortunately I had to work late Friday and did not get to the SoS’s office to get a list of the people who turned in petitions. I tried to call a few times during the day but kept getting answering machines and did not get any of my messages returned.
I am going to try to get the S.o.S.’s office on Tuesday afternoon and get a definitive list of candidates who submitted petitions. It would have been helpful if they listed any candidate petition information on their website.
I have learned through other sources that Chris Romer did indeed submit his petition but I don’t know how many signatures he submitted.
Have to say I pretty disappointed with the lack of media coverage of this. It seems it would have taken very little colomn/inch space to list the candidates who submitted petitions by Thursday’s deadline.
So far Romer is the only legislative candidate I have info about. For the congressional races, by now we have all heard about Lamm, Rubenstein, Anderson, and Rivera. Did any of the other CD5 canddiates submit?
Dan, I’ve heard reports that Bentley Rayburn submitted his petitions on May 22 and that Duncan Bremer submitted his on Thursday.
[…] There hasn’t been much word about which candidates turned in enough petitions to make the ballot, and as The Denver Post reports, the Secretary of State’s office has been swamped trying to catch up: Secretary of State Gigi Dennis‘ election staff is so swamped with petitions from candidates hoping to make the November ballot that she’s hired 35 temporary staffers to help out. SOS spokeswoman Dana Williams said the staff planned to work through the Memorial Day weekend scrutinizing the 65,000 or so signatures. […]
